Claims
- 1. An anchor sheet for detachable attachment of decorative coverings to a rigid supporting substrate in which the decorative coverings have a finished surface and an opposite surface substantially covered in loops, comprising:
a thin flexible sheet substantially covered with hooks on a surface facing the looped surface of the flexible decorative covering, placed intermediate between the covering and the supporting substrate under the covering and having, in combination with the covering, sufficient rigidity and mass to support the covering from shear force across the entire under surface of the covering when laid onto the substrate.
- 2. The anchor sheet of claim 1, attached to the rigid supporting substrate by detachable attachment at a limited number of discrete points.
- 3. The anchor sheet of claim 1, in which the anchor sheet further comprises a resilient layer attached to the thin flexible sheet and located between the thin flexible sheet and the supporting substrate.
- 4. An anchor sheet for attachment of decorative sheet covering having a reverse face substantially covered in loops to a rigid substrate, comprising:
a flexible sheet having an obverse face substantially covered with hooks, located intermediate the covering and the supporting substrate with the hooks in releasable engagement with the loops of the sheet material, one or more sheets being installed side-by-side substantially to cover the supporting substrate under the covering, wherein the sheet and covering together have sufficient rigidity to support the system against shear forces on the covering when laid on the substrate.
- 5. The anchor sheet of claim 4, attached to the rigid substrate by detachable attachment at a limited number of discrete points.
- 3. The anchor sheet of claim 4, in which the anchor sheet further comprises a resilient layer attached to the flexible sheet and located between the thin flexible sheet and the supporting substrate.
- 6. An anchor sheet, comprising:
a flexible sheet with a first surface and a second surface; the first surface bearing hooks; and the second surface attached to a resilient layer.
- 7. A subfloor for covering a supporting substrate comprising:
a plurality of rigid anchor sheets installed side by side to substantially cover the supporting substrate; each anchor sheet having a top surface substantially covering in hooks and a bottom surface having attached thereto a resilient layer.
