The concept of “Angel Anchors” is a means to secure the tree top angel to the top of a Christmas tree. If manufactured this product could ensure the treetop decoration did not fall from the top branch and become damaged or tilt as if to fall. In addition, the “Angel Anchors” would ensure the Angel is safely and attractively displayed.
The “Angel Anchors” would consist of four strands of ornamental beading. Each strand would contain a clip at one end. These strands could measure from 2′ to 6′ depending on the height of the tree. In order to use this product one end of the strand would be secured to the underside of the tree top angel; one in front, one in back, one on each side. Next, the angel would be positioned on top of the tree. The ties fastened to the string then would wrap around the tree branches, thus securing the angel and ensuring it stood straight and did not fall or tilt.
The appealing features of “Angel Anchors” would be their practicality, ability to safe guard favorite tree top angel.
Christmas Trees are often moved and or jostled. The “Angel Anchors” would ensure the tree top angel remains in its original position.
Variations
The potential exists for varying the production of “Angel Anchors” in ways, which could make them more appealing to a wider range of users. This could include producing the “Angel Anchors” in various lengths for placement atop different heights of trees. The beads positioned upon this product could be produced in a wide range of colors, even made to coordinate with the angel. I also envision the possibility this product from garland or lighted strands, and even fiber optics.
A wire shape into a rectangle approximately ½ long
A 3″ piece of tape with a paper backing to be removed when you are ready to attach to angel, connected through the wire at the midway point
An alligator clip attached to a strand of ornamental beads (Bull dog clip is preferable)
Plastic tie wrapped onto strand where needed. This is what will hold the strand to a tree branch
Peel paper from tape
Attach to the underside cone on Angel Tree Topper on all four sides, one strand per side
Clip on the beaded anchors could also be garland or lighted strands
Angel should have four clips; front, back and each side to position it straight on the tree
Finished product ready to top a Christmas Tree without falling off
October 2003 while preparing for a Christmas Bazaar I was looking for something in a craft store to attach to a Christmas Tree Top Angel to secure it to the top of a Christmas Tree. I was unable to find anything so I decided to create my own idea of Angel Anchors. I did a lot of research on this matter but could find nothing like it. That Christmas I used my invention on my own Christmas Tree. Not only did my Christmas Tree Top Angel not fall off as it had in the past, but I could position it to stand straight and stand secure.
