Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to a changing pad. More specifically, the present invention relates to an angularly adjustable changing pad.

Babies need to be changed frequently. Often, an individual tasked with changing a baby will support them on a horizontal support surface, such as a static changing pad. The horizontal pad has some drawbacks. Horizontal pads are not adjustable and only offer one position for the baby, which may cause discomfort and difficulty for the individual changing the baby. Further, when the baby lies flat on the horizontal pad, they are more likely to develop acid reflux or other stomach issues, particularly after eating, which may cause spit-up incidents. These may be uncomfortable for the baby and requires an individual to spend time and resources cleaning the spit-up mess. One way to reduce acid reflux and spit-up incidents is to prop-up the baby up in a seated position, or at least at an upright angle. This may offer some relief for acid reflux and other issues and may prevent spit-up incidents from occurring.

In view of the above concerns, it is therefore desirable to provide an angularly adjustable changing pad that supports a baby in an upright position at a desired angle. The angularly adjustable changing pad provides a traditional changing pad but with the added benefit of reducing acid reflux and other stomach issues for a baby.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

In view of the foregoing disadvantages inherent in the known types of angularly adjustable changing pads now present in the prior art, the present invention provides an angularly adjustable changing pad wherein the same may be utilized for providing convenience for the user when angularly adjustable changing pad.

The present system comprises an angularly adjustable changing pad having a frame having an adjustable plate that is pivotally secured to a fixed plate, a foldable pad moved between a horizontal configuration and an angled configuration, the fixed plate extends from one end of the foldable pad to the other, and an adjustable strap adapted to secure an infant to the foldable pad.
