Claims
- 1. A nicotinic anilide derivative of the formula I ##STR36## wherein R.sup.1 is halogen, methyl, trifluoromethyl, methoxy, methylthio, methylsulfinyl, or methylsulfonyl, and
- R.sup.2 is unsubstituted or halogen-substituted C.sub.3 -C.sub.12 -alkyl, unsubstituted or halogen-substituted C.sub.3 -C.sub.12 -alkenyl, C.sub.3 -C.sub.6 -alkynyl, unsubstituted or halogen-substituted C.sub.2 -C.sub.12 -alkoxy, unsubstituted or halogen-substituted C.sub.3 -C.sub.12 -alkenyloxy, C.sub.3 -C.sub.12 -alkynyloxy, C.sub.3 -C.sub.6 -cycloalkyl, C.sub.4 -C.sub.6 -cycloalkenyl, C.sub.5 -C.sub.6 -cycloalkyloxy, C.sub.5 -C.sub.6 -cycloalkenyloxy, with the proviso that R.sup.2 is not isopropyl when R.sup.1 is chlorine and that when R.sup.1 is halogen, R.sup.2 is not unsubstituted or halogen-substituted ethoxy.
- 2. A 2-aminobiphenyl derivative of the formula III ##STR37## wherein A is a group of formula (A2) ##STR38## R.sup.2 is trifluoromethyl or chlorine and R.sup.8 is C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkylthio or halogen.
- 3. The compounds as claimed in claim 2, wherein R.sup.2 is Cl and R.sup.8 is C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl or halogen.
- 4. The compounds as claimed in claim 2, wherein R.sup.2 is Cl and R.sup.8 is 2-F.
- 5. The compounds as claimed in claim 2, wherein R.sup.2 is Cl and R.sup.8 is 2-CH.sub.3.
- 6. The compounds as claimed in claim 2, wherein R.sup.2 is Cl and R.sup.8 is 2-Cl.
- 7. The compounds as claimed in claim 2, wherein R.sup.2 is Cl and R.sup.8 is 3-F.
- 8. The compounds as claimed in claim 2, wherein R.sup.2 is Cl and R.sup.8 is 3-Cl.
- 9. The compounds as claimed in claim 2, wherein R.sup.2 is Cl and R.sup.8 is 3-CH.sub.3.
- 10. The compounds as claimed in claim 2, wherein R.sup.2 is Cl and R.sup.8 is 3-Br.
- 11. The compounds as claimed in claim 2, wherein R.sup.2 is Cl and R.sup.8 is 4-F.
- 12. The compounds as claimed in claim 2, wherein R.sup.2 is Cl and R.sup.8 is 4-Cl.
- 13. The compounds as claimed in claim 2, wherein R.sup.2 is Cl and R.sup.8 is 4-CH.sub.3.
- 14. A composition for the treatment of botrytis infestation, comprising an effective amount of a compound as claimed in claim 1, in a suitable carrier.
- 15. A composition for the treatment of botrytis infestation, comprising an effective amount of a compound as claimed in claim 2, in a suitable carrier.
- 16. A composition for the treatment of botrytis infestation, comprising an effective amount of a compound as claimed in claim 3, in a suitable carrier.
