Claims
- 1. A compound of formula (A):
- 2. The compound of claim 1, wherein q is 0, and each of Ra and Rb, independently, is aryl.
- 3. The compound of claim 1, wherein R5 is aryl.
- 4. The compound of claim 3, wherein R5 is phenyl.
- 5. The compound of claim 1, wherein each of R1 and R2, independently, is hydrogen.
- 6. The compound of claim 5, wherein the sum of m and p is 1, and the sum of n and o is 1.
- 7. The compound of claim 6, wherein q is 0, and each of Ra and Rb, independently, is aryl or a 5-6 membered aromatic ring, optionally fused, containing 1-3 heteroatoms selected from the group consisting of O, N, and S.
- 8. The compound of claim 7, wherein R5 is phenyl.
- 9. The compound of claim 8, wherein each of R3 and R4 is hydrogen.
- 10. The compound of claim 9, wherein each of Ra and Rb is phenyl or each of Ra and Rb is 2-thienyl.
- 11. The compound of claim 9, wherein one of Ra and Rb is phenyl, and the other is naphthyl, pyridyl, quinolyl, thiazolyl, furyl, thienyl, indolyl, 3,5-dimethyl-2-ixocazole, 3-methyl-2-thienyl, or 3-methyl-2-benzo[b]thienyl.
- 12. The compound of claim 5, wherein the sum of m and p is 1, and the sum of n and o is 2.
- 13. The compound of claim 12, wherein q is 0, and each of Ra and Rb, independently, is aryl.
- 14. The compound of claim 13, wherein R5 is phenyl.
- 15. The compound of claim 14, wherein each of R3 and R4 is hydrogen.
- 16. The compound of claim 15, wherein each of Ra and Rb is phenyl.
- 17. The compound of claim 1, wherein R1 and R2 taken together is (CH2)r, and r is 1.
- 18. The compound of claim 17, wherein the sum of m and p is 1, and the sum of n and o is 1.
- 19. The compound of claim 18, wherein q is 0, and each of Ra and Rb, independently, is aryl.
- 20. The compound of claim 19, wherein R5 is phenyl.
- 21. The compound of claim 20, wherein each of R3 and R4 is hydrogen.
- 22. The compound of claim 21, wherein each of Ra and Rb is phenyl.
- 23. A compound of formula (A):
- 24. The compound of claim 23, wherein Ra is a 5-6 membered aromatic ring, optionally fused, containing 1-3 heteroatoms selected from the group consisting of O, N, and S.

- 26. The compound of claim 25, wherein R5 is phenyl.
- 27. The compound of claim 23, wherein each of R1 and R2 is hydrogen.
- 28. The compound of claim 27, wherein the sum of m and p is 1, and the sum of n and o is 1.

- 30. The compound of claim 29, wherein each of R3 and R4 is hydrogen.
