Claims
- 1. Compounds having the structure; ##STR11## wherein R.sub.1 is C.sub.1 -C.sub.7 alkyl, and R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 are selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, halogen, amino, C.sub.1 -C.sub.7 alkylamino, C.sub.1 -C.sub.7 alkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.7 alkoxy, hydroxyl, phenyl, NHOH, and nitro; or pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof.
- 2. The compounds of claim 1, wherein R.sub.1 is methyl, and R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 are hydrogen.
- 3. The compounds of claim 1, wherein R.sub.1 is methyl; R.sub.3 is selected from the group consisting of chloro, fluoro and bromo; and R.sub.4 is hydrogen.
- 4. A composition for use as an anti-hypertensive, consisting essentially of an anti-hypertensively effective amount of a compound having the structure: ##STR12## wherein R.sub.1 is C.sub.1 -C.sub.7 alkyl, and R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 are selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, halogen, amino, C.sub.1 -C.sub.7 alkylamino, C.sub.1 -C.sub.7 alkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.7 alkoxy, hydroxyl, phenyl, NHOH, and nitro; and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.
- 5. A method for treating hypertensive crisis in warm blooded animals comprising administering to a warm blooded animal in need thereof an anti-hypertensively effective amount of the composition of claim 4.
