The present invention generally, relates to bay bathing gloves and in particular to an anti-slip baby bathing glove made of bamboo to assist in bathing new-born babysit for young mothers, especially if the babies are of the squirming and water skittish variety.
Baby bathing is something that caregivers do with great care, but if you are bathing with an infant who is not sitting on the neck yet and whose skin is slippery, the baby will be surprised at the changes in the environment and unpredictable There is a risk of sliding down. What is generally marketed is a piece of cloth with a gauze overlaid with a new-born bath cloth and trimmed. In this case, it is necessary to consider safety such as slipping or falling down when holding a baby. In addition, the baby is put on a sponge punched out in the shape of a bay and bathed, but the process of a series of actions is too cumbersome and unusable because the back part cannot be washed and it is held again.
It advisable that about one month after birth, to avoid bacterial infection, avoid bathing with adults and use a baby bath for a short bath. A bather is a person that requires the skill of supporting the infant's head with one hand and washing the body with the other hand, but the childcare person or a person unfamiliar with childcare often performs a bathing action. However, it must be done in time to give safety to the baby and give it a sense of security.
There are a few prior patents in this field:
Japanese Patent Document named Utility Model Publication No. 60-158488 discloses a Non-Slip Arm Cover for Infant Bathing that developed an anti-slip glove-like hand cover and arm cover on both hands or one hand of a person who does bathing. This Patent Document suggests that a bathing person himself aims at a hand cover and an arm cover, and there is a problem in the case where a baby makes a movement that does not expect and flutters his limbs. This art is different from that being taught in the present invention.
Washing a baby can be a difficult task. When being bathed, some babies have a tendency to squirm and wiggle due to anxiety or as they play in the tub. Due to the fact that the baby is wet and soapy, it can become difficult to maintain a secure hold on the baby while bathing. The task is all the more difficult because the parent bathing the child usually has to maintain a hold on the child with one hand while using a wash cloth with the other.
The US patent document number US20090151104A1 describes a glove for bathing or showering a baby. The invention provides a wash glove consisting of an elongated cylindrical tube of elastic terry cloth material, with opposite first and second openings formed on the tube. A thumb aperture is formed on the tube between the first and second openings, said thumb aperture dimensioned to permit the user's thumb to pass there through when the glove is worn. The tube has a diameter which is dimensioned to permit the wearer's hand to be inserted into the tube from the first opening and through the second opening.
The terry cloth material is sufficiently elastic and the diameter of the tube is sufficiently narrow that the tube resiliently clings and conforms to the user's hand when the hand is inserted into the tube. The length of the tube between the first and second openings is selected such that when the glove is worn on the user's hand, the second opening of the tube is positioned adjacent the user's fingers and the first opening of the tube is positioned adjacent the user's wrist. The length of the tube is further selected to ensure that a portion of the fingers distal to the proximal interphalangeal joints remain substantially uncovered by the tube. However, most features of this prior art are not the same as those being proposed in the present invention.
Some attempts at providing a wash gloves or mitten have been attempted, but these mittens tend to be large and bulky and actually decrease the dexterity of the wearer's hand, which is disadvantageous when attempting to bath a baby. What is required is a glove like apparatus which permits the user to maintain a firm but gentle grip on the baby while facilitating the application of lather, soap and water to the baby.
Now that none of the above cited prior art documents teach the same subject matter being taught in the present invention, there is need to develop and avail a user-friendly baby bathing glove that can assist in bathing new-born babysit for young mothers.
It is therefore an object of this invention to provide a non-slippery device which will obviate the foregoing difficulties and provide an accessory for the young mother to do preliminary to bathing the child, so that she may have complete and safe control of the baby throughout the ritual.
Another object of the invention is to provide an accessory in the nature of a long sleeve and glove like device which is made of a highly absorbent material such as bamboo, cotton, or other suitable material which has a high frictional factor when brought into contact with the wet and slippery skin of a baby.
Another object of the invention is to provide a bathing glove of the character indicated which may be worn by the mother on either arm while bathing the baby.
Another object of the invention is to provide a device of the character indicated which is constructed and arranged with an inner lining of thin flexible plastic or, other waterproof material, so that the baby may be bathed while the mother is wearing a fancy housecoat or even a street costume.
The foregoing and other objects and advantages of the invention will appear as the description proceeds, reference being made from time to time to the accompanying drawing, forming part of the within disclosure.
In summary, the present invention describes to baby bathing gloves. It reveals a novel method of making an anti-slip baby bath glove crafted from bamboo and cotton to assist in bathing new-born babysit for young mothers, especially if the babies are of the squirming and water skittish variety.
The said glove is novel and affordable baby care product that assists in bathing new-born babysit. It is a soft bamboo towelling glove that one wears to assist in bathing new-born babies as it ensures a better grip while holding your baby. It is made out of all natural bamboo towelling 70% bamboo 30% cotton.
It is made out of stretchy natural bamboo towelling 70% bamboo and 30% cotton. The said glove is made by placing two layers of bamboo towelling on top of each other, the right sides of fabric are facing each other and overlock and stitch the sides and the sides of the fingers and then fold the hem of the cut off fingers and straight stitch and then fold over the bottom of the glove and hem and stitch. It is overlocked with nylon overlocking thread for durability. It is stretchy bamboo towelling to fit all sizes.
There are two ways to finish off the cut-off fingers, one as above, the folded hem and then there is just overlocking the cut-off fingers as they are.
These and other features, and advantages of the present invention will become apparent from the following detailed description, the accompanying drawings, and the appended claims.
