Claims
- 1. A method for the inhibition of a plant-pathogenic bacterium which comprises applying to a plant exposed to the bacterium an amount of 7-(5-amino-5-carboxyvaleramido)-3-(carbamoyloxymethyl)-3-cephem-4-carboxylic acid which is effective to inhibit the growth of the bacterium.
- 2. The composition suitable for inhibiting plant-pathogenic bacteria comprising (1) 7-(5-amino-5-carboxyvaleramido)-3-(carbamoyloxymethyl)-3-cephem-4-carboxylic acid, in an amount which is effective to inhibit the growth of a plant-pathogenic bacterium, and (2) a surface-active agent.

No. 62,390 was a continuation-in-part of then pending application Ser. No. 849,395, filed Aug. 12, 1969, and abandoned after the filing of application Ser. No. 62,390.
