Claims
- 1. A substance designated as AM-3603 having antibiotic activity represented by the following formula: ##STR3##
- 2. A composition having antibiotic activity comprising an antibiotic effective amount of AM-3603 as defined in claim 1 in combination with a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier or excipient.
- 3. A composition for the control of fungi in plants comprising as an active agent a fungicidal effective amount of AM-3603 in combination with a fungicide adjuvant.
- 4. The composition of claim 3 wherein said fungicide adjuvant is selected from the group consisting of inert solids, hydrocarbon liquid diluents and surface active agents.
- 5. The composition of claim 2 applied to plants at a dosage of 2 to 100 grams of AM-3603 per 10 acres of plants.
- 6. The composition of claim 2 applied to soil as a systemic fungicide at a dosage of 5 to 450 grams of AM-3603 per 10 acres of soil.
- 7. The composition of claim 2 for animal use containing the following amount of AM-3603 calculated on the basis of preferred amount for intravenous injection of 0.05 to 2 mg/kg of body weight: 4 to 10 for oral administration; 2 to 3 for subcutaneous administration; 1.5 to 3 for intramuscular administration; 2 to 4 for baccals and troches and 5 to 10 for suppositories.
