Claims
- 1. In an antipersonnel mine for delivery by a round of artillery having an explosive lead for a main charge, such lead being mounted in a slide interposed between such charge and an explosive detonator within such mine, the slide having a safe position wherein such detonator is inhibited from exploding such lead and an operating position wherein such detonator is allowed to explode such lead, the improvement comprising:
- (a) means actuated by the slide to provide a visible indication outside such mine of the position of the slide and of such lead;
- (b) a sear spring disposed within the mine in contact with the slide when the slide is in its safe condition; and
- (c) a pressure-actuated latch disposed within the mine, such latch normally being in contact with the slide to lock the slide in its safe condition, such latch being disengaged by explosion of the round of artillery.
- 2. The improvement as in claim 1 wherein the position indicating means comprises an extension of the slide, the free end of such extension projecting through a wall of such mine.
