Claims
- 1. A method for detecting frequency modulated symbols comprising:generating a plurality of samples; and decoding the symbol by masking a subset of the plurality of samples.
- 2. The method of claim 1, further comprising determining the plurality of samples from the rotational direction of a vector of the frequency modulated symbol.
- 3. The method of claim 1, further comprising masking the subset of the plurality of samples to decode the symbol.
- 4. The method of claim 1, further comprising determining the direction of movement value for the frequency modulated symbols.
- 5. The method of claim 1, further comprising performing a matched filter operation to decode the symbol.
- 6. A method of detecting frequency modulated symbols comprising masking a plurality of samples derived from the rotational direction of a received signal.
- 7. The method of claim 6, further comprising performing a matched filter operation to decode the symbol.
- 8. The method of claim 6, further comprising generating the plurality of samples based on the direction of movement of the received signal.
- 9. A symbol detector for frequency modulated symbols comprising:a symbol determiner which decodes a plurality of samples derived from the rotational direction of a received signal into a data symbol.
- 10. The symbol detector of claim 9, wherein the symbol determiner decodes using sample masking.
- 11. The symbol detector of claim 9, wherein the plurality of samples is derived from the direction of movement of a signal.
- 12. The symbol detector of claim 9, wherein the symbol determiner performs a matched filter operation to decode the data symbol.
