Claims
- 1. An ear warmer, comprising:
a shell; and a frame configured to be inserted into said shell, said frame including a first ear portion and a second ear portion, said frame being selectively disposable in an extended configuration and in a collapsed configuration, said first ear portion being proximate to said second ear portion in said collapsed configuration, said frame having a longitudinal axis, said frame being curved about an axis substantially parallel to said longitudinal axis in the extended configuration.
- 2. The ear warmer of claim 1, wherein said frame includes a first band member and a second band member, said first band member being coupled to said second band member, said first band member including a first frame portion and said first ear portion, and said second band member including a second frame portion and said second ear portion.
- 3. The ear warmer of claim 1, wherein said frame includes a first band member and a second band member, said first band member being coupled to said second band member, said first band member including a first frame portion and said first ear portion, said second band member including a second frame portion and said second ear portion, said first frame portion being configured to be coupled to said second frame portion.
- 4. The ear warmer of claim 1, wherein said frame includes a first band member, a second band member, and a third band member, said first band member configured to be coupled to said second band member, and said second band member configured to be coupled to said third band member.
- 5. The ear warmer of claim 1, wherein said frame includes a first band member, a second band member, and a third band member, said first band member configured to be coupled to said second band member, said second band member configured to be coupled to said third band member, said first band member includes said first ear portion, said second band member includes said second ear portion, and said third band member includes a first frame portion.
- 6. The ear warmer of claim 5, wherein said first band member has its own longitudinal axis, said second band member has its own longitudinal axis, said first band member being curved about an axis substantially parallel to said longitudinal axis for said first band member, and said second band member being curved about an axis substantially parallel to said longitudinal axis for said second band member.
- 7. The ear warmer of claim 1, wherein said first ear portion includes a first frame portion defining a first ear-hole aperture, and said second ear portion includes a second frame portion defining a second ear-hole aperture.
- 8. The ear warmer of claim 1, wherein said frame has a longitudinal axis, said frame being curved about an axis substantially perpendicular to said longitudinal axis when said frame is in said collapsed configuration, and said frame extending along said longitudinal axis when said frame is in said extended configuration.
- 9. The ear warmer of claim 1, wherein said frame maintains an extended shape along said longitudinal axis while in said extended configuration.
- 10. An ear warmer, comprising:
a shell; and a frame configured to be inserted in said shell, said frame including:
a first frame member, said first frame member including a passageway and a projection disposed proximate to said first frame member passageway; a second frame member, said second frame member including a plurality of projections, and a third frame member, said third frame member including a passageway and a projection disposed proximate to said third frame member passageway, said first frame member passageway configured to receive said second frame member, said third frame member passageway configured to receive said second frame member, said first frame member projection and said third frame member projection being configured to engage said plurality of projections to couple said first frame member and said third frame member to said second frame member.
- 11. The ear warmer of claim 10, wherein said second frame member has an inner surface, said plurality of projections being disposed on said inner surface.
- 12. The ear warmer of claim 10, wherein said first frame member includes a band portion and an ear frame portion, said band portion including a plurality of projections, said first frame member passageway being disposed on said band portion.
- 13. The ear warmer of claim 10, wherein said first frame member includes a band portion and an ear frame portion, said band portion including a first surface and a plurality of projections disposed on said first surface, said first frame member passageway being disposed on said band portion.
- 14. The ear warmer of claim 10, wherein said first frame member includes a band portion and an ear frame portion, said first frame member passageway being disposed on said band portion, said band portion configured to be coupled to said ear frame portion.
- 15. The ear warmer of claim 10, wherein said first frame member includes its own band portion and its own ear frame portion, said second frame member includes its own band portion and its own ear frame portion, said band portion of said first frame member including a plurality of projections, said first frame member passageway being disposed on said band portion of said first frame member, said band portion of said second frame member including a plurality of projections, said second frame member passageway being disposed on said second band portion of said second frame member.
- 16. The ear warmer of claim 15, wherein said plurality of projections on said band portion of said first frame member is configured to engage said plurality of projections on said band portion of said second frame member.
- 17. The ear warmer of claim 15, wherein said plurality of projections on said band portion of said first frame member is configured to engage said plurality of projections on said band portion of said second frame member, said third frame member includes its own band portion, said band portion of said third frame member including a plurality of projections configured to engage said plurality of projections on said band portion of said second frame member.
- 18. The ear warmer of claim 15, wherein said band portion of said first frame member is configured to be coupled to said ear frame portion of said first frame member, and said band portion of said second frame member is configured to be coupled to said ear frame portion of said second frame member.
- 19. A method of assembling an ear warmer frame, the ear warmer frame including a first frame member including a passageway and a projection, a second frame member including a plurality of projections, and a third frame member including a passageway and a projection, said method comprising:
inserting the second frame member into the first frame member passageway; engaging the projection on the first frame member with the plurality of projections on the second frame member; and coupling the second frame member and the third frame member.
- 20. The method of claim 19, wherein said coupling the second frame member and the third frame member comprises:
inserting the second frame member into the third frame member passageway; and engaging the projection on the third frame member with the plurality of projections on the second frame member.
- 21. The method of claim 19, wherein the first frame member includes a plurality of projections, the method further comprising:
engaging the first frame member plurality of projections and the second frame member plurality of projections.
- 22. The method of claim 19, wherein the first frame member includes a plurality of projections, the second frame member includes a plurality of projections, the method further comprising:
engaging the first frame member plurality of projections and the second frame member plurality of projections, and said coupling the second frame member and the third frame member includes engaging the second frame member plurality of projections and the third frame member plurality of projections.
- 23. An ear warmer kit, comprising:
a first ear frame; a second ear frame; a first band having its own first end and second end, said first end of said first band configured to be coupled to said first ear frame, said second end of said first band configured to be coupled to said second ear frame; and a second band having its own first end and second end, said first end of said second band configured to be coupled to said first ear frame, said second end of said second band configured to be coupled to said second ear frame, said second band being interchangeable with said first band.
- 24. The ear warmer kit of claim 23, further comprising:
a third band having its own first end and second end, said first end of said third band configured to be coupled to said first ear frame, said second end of said third band configured to be coupled to said second ear frame.
- 25. The ear warmer of claim 23, wherein said first band has a length, said second band has a length, said length of said first band being different than said length of said second band.
- 26. The ear warmer of claim 24, wherein said first band has a length, said second band has a length, said third band has a length, said length of said first band being different than said length of said second band, said length of said third band being different than said length of said first band and said length of said second band.
- 27. The ear warmer of claim 23, wherein said first ear frame has an arcuate configuration.
- 28. An ear warmer, comprising:
a shell, said shell including a plurality of membrane portions, said plurality of membrane portions being coupled together to define an interior of the ear warmer; and a frame configured to be inserted in said interior, said frame including:
a band having a first end and a second end; a first ear frame member configured to be coupled to said first end of said band, said first ear frame member having an arcuate configuration; and a second ear frame member configured to be coupled to said second end of said band.
- 29. The ear warmer of claim 28, wherein said second ear frame member has an arcuate configuration.
- 30. An ear warmer, comprising:
a shell including:
an outer membrane defining a perimeter, said outer membrane having a first side and a second side, said second side being opposite to said first side of said outer membrane; and an inner membrane defining a perimeter, said inner membrane having a first side and a second side, said second side of said inner membrane being opposite to said first side of said inner membrane, said inner membrane first side being attached to said outer membrane first side along a first fixedly coupled portion, said inner membrane second side being attached to said outer membrane second side along a second fixedly coupled portion, at least a portion of said first fixedly coupled portion and at least a portion of said second fixedly coupled portion being disposed within an interior of the ear warmer; and a frame configured to be inserted into said shell.
- 31. The ear warmer of claim 30, wherein said first fixedly coupled portion includes a weld.
- 32. The ear warmer of claim 30, wherein said frame includes a band member, a first ear frame member, and a second ear frame member, said first ear frame member being fixedly coupled to said band member, and said second ear frame member being fixedly coupled to said band member.
- 33. The ear warmer of claim 32, wherein said first ear frame member is welded to said band member.
