Claims
- 1. A camera comprising:
- a case;
- a main lens attached to said case, for photographing an object;
- a first pair of lenses separated by a predetermined distance, used for active distance measurement, attached to said case;
- a second pair of lenses used for passive distance measurement, attached to said case, being arranged between said first pair of lenses;
- a light-emitting device and a first light-receiving device used for active distance measurement, both being arranged behind said first pair of lenses; and
- a second light-receiving device used for passive distance measurement being arranged behind said second pair of lenses.
- 2. A camera according to claim 1, further comprising:
- a lens moving mechanism for moving said main lens;
- a motor for driving said lens moving mechanism;
- a first processor for calculating the distance based on a signal from said first light-receiving device;
- a second processor for calculating the distance based on a signal from said second light-receiving device;
- a photodetector for detecting ambient light;
- a selecting circuit for selecting one of the distances calculated by said first and second processor based on a signal from said photodetector; and
- a controller for controlling said motor based on the selected distance.
- 3. A camera according to claim 1, further comprising:
- a lens moving mechanism for moving said main lens; and
- a motor for driving said lens moving mechanism.
- 4. A camera according to claim 3, further comprising:
- a first processor for calculating the distance based on a signal from said first light-receiving device; and
- a second processor for calculating the distance based on a signal from said second light-receiving device.
- 5. A camera according to claim 4, further comprising:
- a photodetector for detecting ambient light; and
- a selecting circuit for selecting one of the distances calculated by said first and second processor based on a signal from said photodetector.
- 6. A camera according to claim 5, further comprising:
- a controller for controlling said motor based on the selected distance.
