Claims
- 1. An apparatus for conveying dry powder material comprising a first auger conveyor including a housing and an auger therein, said housing of said first conveyor having at least two openings located on opposite sides of the housing within a transfer portion of the housing; a second auger conveyor including a bifurcated transfer portion having two housing sections disposed in pivotally adjustable straddling relation with the housing of said first conveyor, each of said sections of said second conveyor having an auger therein and an opening in communication with one of said openings of said housing of said first conveyor for transferring said material between said conveyors.
- 2. An apparatus as in claim 1, wherein said housing of said first auger conveyor includes a sleeve portion disposed around each opening and said opening of each of said sections is adapted to receive one of the sleeves of said first conveyor, said sleeves being rotatable in said openings of said sections of said second conveyor.
- 3. An apparatus as in claim 2, wherein said first conveyor includes means for discharging said material from said first conveyor into said second conveyor.
- 4. An apparatus as in claim 3, wherein said means for discharging is a set of paddles disposed between the two openings of said first conveyor housing.
- 5. An apparatus as in claim 1, wherein said apparatus further comprises means for effecting selective, independent, pivotal movement of said first conveyor in relation to said second conveyor.
- 6. An apparatus as in claim 5, wherein said means for effecting movement is an extensible support carried on said second conveyor and in engagement with said first conveyor.
