The present invention relates generally to wig bags, and particularly to a wig bag with compartments.
Generally, wig cases comprising soft synthetic resin or paper cardboard have been used to store or carry wigs. However, the conventional wig cases have a problem in that wigs may be frequently compressed or deformed during storage or transport. Thus, the hairstyle of the wig is disordered so that great expense and effort is required to restore curls of the wig to original shapes thereof.
The conventional wig support includes a wig support unit. The length of the wig support unit is determined such that both ends of the wig support unit are in contact with an inner surface of a packing container, thus preventing a wig from undesirably moving in the packing container.
However, the conventional wig support is problematic in that the packing container itself is flat, so that it cannot prevent the wig from being compressed.
Further, when the length of the wig support unit is equal to the width of the packing container, it is difficult to put the wig support in the packing container. Conversely, when the length of the wig support unit is slightly shorter than the width of the packing container, the wig support is not in contact with the inner surface of the packing container. Thus, the wig may undesirably move in the packing case during the transport.
Further, the conventional wig support has another problem in that the wig support is thin, so that it is difficult to maintain the volume of the wig, and thereby the hairstyle of the wig is inevitably disordered.
Reference will now be made in detail to the present preferred embodiments, examples of which are illustrated in the accompanying drawings. All terms in the plural shall also be taken as singular and vice-versa. Further, any reference to he shall also be applicable to she and vice-versa.

The wig bag 100 has a top 101, a first side 102, a second side 103, a third side 104, a fourth side 105, and a bottom 106. The top 101 of the wig bag 100 is coupled to the first side 102, the second side 103, the third side 104, and the fourth side 105. The wig bag 100 may be of any material such as mesh, plastic, cloth, leather, etc.
The top 101 may be coupled to the first side 102, the second side 103, the third side 104, and the fourth side 105 by any means, the exemplary coupling means is a zipper 106. The zipper 106 or other coupling means may be any means such as Velcro, a string tie, buttons, a latch, etc. The exemplary wig bag 100 utilizes a zipper 106 with a zipper pull tag 107 to manipulate the zipper 106 while opening and closing the zipper 106.
The wig bag 100 is shown as a rectangular shape, but the shape may be any shape desired such as a square, round, octagonal, etc. The rectangular shape of the wig bag 100 has the first side 102 being at least significantly the same size as the third side 104. The second side 103 being at least significantly the same size as the fourth side 105. The first side 102 is coupled to the second side 103 and the fourth side 105 along opposite edges of the first side 102. The third side 104 is coupled to the second side 103 and the fourth side 105 along opposite edges the first side 102 is coupled. The coupling may be any type of coupling such as sewing, string ties, etc.
The bottom edges of the coupled the first side 102, the second side 103, the third side 104 and the fourth side 105, are coupled to a bottom 106. The coupling may be any type of coupling such as sewing, string ties, etc.
Along the opposite edges from the bottom edge, the first side 102, the second side 103, the third side 104, and the fourth side 105 are coupled to the top 101. The coupling may be of any type of coupling such as the zipper 106, sewing, string ties, etc. The zipper 106 is shown along the edge of the wig bag 100 but the zipper 106 may be anywhere to allow a user to open the wig bag 100 to see inside, access stored wigs, or to place wigs into the wig bag 100.
The wig bag 100 also has a handle 108. The handle may be of any material that can support a weight of the wig bag 100. The material may be vinyl, plastic, cloth, leather, etc. The handle 108 is useful when transporting or moving the wig bag 100.

The inside 201 of the wig bag 100 has one or more compartments or sections 202. Each of the sections 202 are of an area which is a portion of the inside but any one section does not generally cover the entire inside 201 of the wig bag 100. The sections may be any material, such as cloth, leather, mesh, etc. Mesh is preferred in the embodiment because of the ability of the mesh to let air circulate throughout the inside 201 of the wig bag 100, thus allowing for the wigs and wig pieces to ‘breathe’.
The sections 202 have at least a partial closure 203 on a top portion 204 of the sections 202. The side of the partial closure 202 may differ between any of the sections 202. The top portion 204 may also have a storage area 205. The storage area 205 may be of any size and shape but most generally are not more than fifty percent of any one section 202. The storage area 205 may have an opener 206. The opener may be a handle, a strap, a push button, a magnetic connector, etc.
The sections 202 also have a bottom portion 207. The bottom portion 205 of the sections 202 are placed along the bottom 106 of the wig bag 100. The sections 202 of the inside 201 may further be more secure by attaching the section 202 to the bottom 106 on the inside 201 of the wig bag 202. The sections 202 may be secured to the bottom 106 on the inside 201 of the wig bag 202 by a lock hinge, Velcro, etc.
The features described with respect to one embodiment may be applied to other embodiments or combined with or interchanged with the features of other embodiments, as appropriate, without departing from the scope of the present invention.
