Claims
- 1. An apparatus for converting a plastic waste into oil, consisting essentially of:a stainless steel tubular continuous reactor; means for heating a mixture of plastic waste and water to a supercritical or near supercritical region; means for conveying said mixture of plastic waste and water to said reactor; means for further heating said mixture of plastic waste and water in said reactor to a temperature of at least 480° C. to cause said mixture to decompose into a low-molecular-weight oil; and means for separating and collecting said low-molecular-weight oil.
- 2. The apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the tubular continuous reactor comprises a plurality of reaction tubes.
- 3. An apparatus according to claim 1, additionally comprising means for creating a pressure of 18 to 50 mPa in the reactor.
- 4. An apparatus according to claim 1, additionally comprising means for creating a pressure of 22.1 to 35 mPa in the reactor.
- 5. An apparatus according to claim 4, additionally comprising means for cooling said mixture after it exits said reactor.
- 6. An apparatus for converting a plastic waste containing chlorine-base plastic into oil, consisting essentially of:means for heating a plastic waste to generate hydrogen chloride; means for separating and removing the hydrogen chloride generated by the heating of the plastic waste; a stainless steel continuous reactor; means for heating a mixture of plastic waste and water to a supercritical or near supercritical region; means for conveying said mixture of plastic waste and water to said reactor; means for further heating said mixture of plastic waste and water in said reactor to a temperature of at least 480° C. to cause said mixture to decompose into a low-molecular-weight oil; and means for separating and collecting said low-molecular-weight oil.
- 7. The apparatus according to claim 6, wherein said continuous reactor is a tubular continuous reactor.
- 8. An apparatus according to claim 6, additionally comprising means for creating a pressure of 18 to 50 mPa in the reactor.
- 9. An apparatus according to claim 6, additionally comprising means for creating a pressure of 22.1 to 35 mPa in the reactor.
- 10. An apparatus according to claim 9, additionally comprising means for cooling said mixture after it exits said reactor.
