- 3. The apparatus of claim 2 wherein said mechanism includes adjustable measuring means for controlling the distance said bundle is pulled in said steps and adjustable timing means for controlling the duration of said dwell time, said measuring and timing means being adjustable independently of each other and further operable to maintain such pulling distance and dwell time duration constant once adjusted.
- 4. The apparatus of claim 2 wherein said solidifying means further includes an electric heating coil in heat transfer relation to a die portion, said controlling means including a temperature-sensing device responsive to temperature changes in said die portion for maintaining independently the temperature of said die portion substantially constant.
