- 5. The apparatus of claim 1, including means for driving said holding device and including a camming rod fixed to and extending from said main shaft, a driven rod rotatable through a given angle by said camming rod as the main shaft extends, a rotatable shaft fixed for rotation about an axis adjacent said wire path, said driven rod and a holding member being fixed to said rotatable shaft for engaging said holding member with said wire, and spring means for returning said holding member to a position out of holding engagement with the wire upon release of said driven rod by said camming rod.
- 6. The apparatus of claim 1, in which said transfer device comprises a rotatable crank member fixed to and rotatable with said main shaft, a reciprocating connecting rod connected to said crank member for reciprocation thereby, a linearly reciprocable base unit movable along the wire path and a feed claw fixed to said reciprocable base unit and engageable with the completed bar positioning member for advancing same and thereby advancing fresh wire into the region of said mold member, and means for adjusting the stroke of said base unit provided by rotation of said crank member.
