Claims
- 1. An apparatus for forming a surgical sponge comprising an elongated visually detectable element on a sheet of absorbent material, comprising:
- means for forming the entire portion of a pair of different colored strands by extrusion;
- means for twisting said strands together into the elongated element;
- means for placing the element on said sheet; and
- means for bonding the element to the sheet.
- 2. The apparatus of claim 1 wherein the twisting means comprises a rotating guide having a pair of clips biased together, said strands passing between said clips.
