Claims
- 1. A floor mat manufacturing apparatus having a metal platen wherein said apparatus further comprises a perforated conveyor belt positioned on top of a cushioned platen liner that is positioned on top of said metal platen; wherein during manufacture of a cleated floor mat having a cleated backing sheet, the backing sheet of such floor mat is placed in direct contact with said perforated conveyor belt such that the perforations of said perforated conveyor belt correspond to the resultant pattern of cleats within said backing sheet of said floor mat manufactured with such an apparatus.
- 2. The apparatus of claim 1 wherein said conveyor belt is made of fiberglass and coated with a coating which can withstand the high temperatures and pressures associated with rubber vulcanization and which will not appreciably adhere to vulcanized rubber.
- 3. The apparatus of claim 2 wherein said coating on said conveyor belt is polyfluoroethylene.
- 4. The apparatus of claim 1 wherein said cushioned platen liner is either comprised of silicon or is coated with silicon.
