Claims
- 1. An apparatus for holding at least one disk containing digital media comprising:
an open-faced housing; at least one of a semi-circular disk-hold portion each said semi-circular disk-hold portion shaped to engage a disk on a non-recordable portion when said disk is inserted into said semi-circular disk-hold portion without a protective disk cover.
- 2. The apparatus of claim 1 further comprising:
an angled-guide portion connected to said semi-circular disk-hold portion for guiding an outer edge of said disk into said semi-circular disk-hold portion.
- 3. The apparatus of claim 2 wherein each said semi-circular disk-hold portion is recessed into said open-faced housing.
- 4. The apparatus of claim 2 wherein each said semi-circular disk-hold portion extrudes from said open-faced housing.
- 5. The apparatus of claim 2 wherein each said semi-circular disk-hold portion is positioned on an incline.
- 6. The apparatus of claim 2 wherein said open-faced housing comprises a single continuous portion.
- 7. The apparatus of claim 6 wherein said single continuous portion is formed by injection molding.
- 8. The apparatus of claim 2 wherein said open-faced housing comprises multiple elements.
- 9. The apparatus of claim 2 wherein said open-faced housing comprises a portion for placement of a graphics image.
- 10. The apparatus of claim 2 further comprising:
at least one pair of a successively narrower protective-case-hold portion interposed with a corresponding successively narrower angled-guide portion the last pair of which ultimately leads into said semi-circular disk-hold portion.
- 11. The apparatus of claim 10 wherein said protective-case-hold portion fits a protective cover narrower than a jewel case.
- 12. The apparatus of claim 10 wherein said protective-case-hold portion fits a jewel case.
- 13. The apparatus of claim 10 wherein outermost protective-case-hold portion fits a jewel case and the next innermost protective-case-hold portion fits a protective cover narrower than a jewel case.
- 14. The apparatus of claim 10 wherein said open-faced housing is formed into a CD bundle case.
- 15. The apparatus of claim 14 further comprising a conical indentation to hold a writing implement.
- 16. The apparatus of claim 10 wherein said open-faced housing is formed into a vertically oriented configuration.
- 17. The apparatus of claim 10 wherein said open-faced housing is formed into a computer monitor mount open-faced housing.
- 18. The apparatus of claim 17 wherein said computer monitor mount open-faced housing is located on the reverse side of a monitor mounted paper holder.
- 19. The apparatus of claim 10 wherein said semi-circular disk-hold portions are arranged substantially parallel to the longest axis of said open-faced housing further comprising means for modularly connecting a plurality of said open-faced housings to one another.
