Claims
- 1. An apparatus for trickle resin impregnation of an object by a stream, comprising means located above the object for applying a liquid synthetic resin in conjunction with a curing agent on the object to be impregnated, said applying means including means for supplying the resin separately in an amount in a stream and free of the curing agent, said supplying means including a nozzle having an outlet opening from which emerges the resin to flow downwards in jet form and in free fall due to the action of gravity so as to follow a path between the outlet opening and the object to be impregnated; mixing means located above the object for mixing the curing agent with the resin when the resin is in the path between the outlet opening and the object to be impregnated; whereby said resin and said curing agent are mixed prior to impregnating the object.
- 2. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein said mixing means includes a curing agent application nozzle, which is arranged to apply the curing agent, the curing agent application nozzle being a ring nozzle, through whose center the resin flows and, at the same time, guides spraying with the curing agent on all sides of the resin.
- 3. The apparatus of claim 1, further comprising means for adding a carrier liquid to the curing agent.
- 4. The apparatus of claim 3, further comprising means for moving the object to be impregnated and an electric or electronic central control system for determining an apportionment of at least one of the resin free of the curing agent, the curing agent, and the carrier liquid and for determining a relative motion speed of the object to be impregnated and, at the same time, sets by appropriate pre-heating a viscosity of at least one of the resin free of the curing agent, the curing agent and the carrier liquid prior to forming the mixture.
- 5. The apparatus of claim 1, further comprising means for moving the object to be impregnated while said applying means is applying the liquid synthetic resin in conjunction with a curing agent on the object to be impregnated.
- 6. An apparatus for trickle resin impregnation of an object by a stream, comprising means located above the object for applying a curable composition with a curing agent on the object to be impregnated, said applying means including means for supplying the curable composition separately in an amount in a stream and free of the curing agent, said supplying means including a nozzle having an outlet opening from which emerges the curable composition to flow downwards in jet form and in free fall due to the action of gravity so as to follow a path between the outlet opening and the object to be impregnated; mixing means located above the object for mixing the curing agent with the curable composition when the curable composition is in the path between the outlet opening and the object to be impregnated; whereby said resin and said curing agent are mixed prior to impregnating the object.
- 7. The apparatus of claim 6, wherein said mixing means includes a curing agent application nozzle, which is arranged to apply the curing agent, the curing agent application nozzle being a ring nozzle through whose center the curable composition flows and, at the same time, guides spraying with the curing agent on all sides of the curable composition.
- 8. The apparatus of claim 6, further comprising means for adding a carrier liquid to the curing agent.
- 9. The apparatus of claim 8, further comprising means for moving the object to be impregnated and an electric or electronic central control system for determining an apportionment of at least one of the curable composition free of the curing agent, the curing agent, and the carrier liquid and for determining a relative motion speed of the object to be impregnated and, at the same time, sets by appropriate pre-heating a viscosity of at least one of the curable composition free of the curing agent, the curing agent and the carrier liquid prior to forming the mixture.
- 10. The apparatus of claim 6, further comprising means for moving the object to be impregnated while said applying means is applying the curable composition in conjunction with a curing agent on the object to be impregnated.
