- node strip feeding means for advancing successive sets of pluralities of polymeric node strips in parallel relationship, at equal spacings, onto said substrate layers, one set for each layer, and advancing successive sets of spaced, parallel node strips laterally offset halfway relative to the strip spacing of the set therebelow;
- said node strip feeding means comprises spools of solid, continuous thermoplastic node strips; and
- a heatable pressure applicator located for softening said node strips and pressing them into bonding relationship with said substrate layers to form a block, whereby expansion of the block will effect a honeycomb structure.

The apparatus in claim 8 wherein said rotational form has opposite sides and is rotational about a first axis through said opposite sides, to wind substrate, and has opposite ends and is rotational about a second axis through said opposite ends and normal to said first axis, to wind node strips.
- 12. The apparatus in claim 11 wherein said node strip feeding means also comprises first and second pluralities of equally spaced node strip spools which feed node strips in directions normal to that direction which the substrate is fed by the substrate feeder, from said opposite sides of said rotational form, with said first plurality of node strip spools causing node strip feed laterally offset relative to node strip feed from said second plurality of node strip spools by an amount which is one-half of the equal spacing between node strip spools.
