- (c) display means for executing a display corresponding to said kind of recording operation mode set by operating said operation mode setting member;
- (d) an operation instructing member which is used (i) to provide an instruction to cause a start of a recording operation of an image in the recording mode, and (ii) to provide an instruction to cause a start of a reproducing operation of the image in the reproducing mode; and
- (e) control means having an automatic shut-off function for stopping at least one function of said electronic camera when a predetermined time period has passed, for controlling an operation of said electronic camera so as to restart the function stopped by the automatic shut-off function when said operation instructing member is operated during said automatic shut-off function.
- 2. An electronic camera according to claim 1, wherein the recording mode has a continuous recording mode in which a plurality of images are recorded, and a single recording mode in which a single image is recorded, and a self-timer recording mode in which a single image is recorded when a time set in advance has passed, and wherein said electronic camera changes between the continuous recording mode, the single recording mode, and the self-timer recording mode each time the operation mode setting member is operated in the recording mode.
- 3. An electronic camera according to claim 1, wherein said operation instructing member includes a push switch, and wherein said electronic camera is arranged so as to start the recording operation when the push switch is operated in the recording mode, and to start the reproducing operation when the push switch is operated in the reproducing mode.
- 4. An electronic camera according to claim 1, wherein said operation mode selecting member includes a slide switch which is slidable between a first state and a second state different from the first state, and wherein said control means sets a recording mode state when the slide switch is in the first state, and sets a reproducing mode state when the slide switch is in the second state.
- 5. An electronic camera according to claim 1, wherein said operation mode setting member includes a push switch, and wherein said control means changes a kind of recording operation mode to be set each time the push switch is operated in the recording mode.
- 6. An electronic camera having a recording/reproducing function, comprising:
- an operation mode selecting member for selecting an operation mode from plural kinds of operation modes including a recording mode and a reproducing mode;
- an operation instructing member for providing an instruction to cause a start of recording operation when the operation mode of said electronic camera is set to the recording mode by said operation mode selecting member; and
- control means having an automatic shut-off function for stopping at least one of the functions of said electronic camera when a predetermined time has passed, said control means controlling operation of said electronic camera to restart the function stopped by the automatic shut-off function at least when said operation instructing member is operated in operating said automatic shut-off function.
- 7. A camera according to claim 6, wherein said operation instructing member includes a push switch and wherein said electronic camera is arranged to start the photographing operation when the push switch is operated.
