Claims
- 1. Apparatus for use in the ultrasonic cleaning of a chandelier comprising a plurality of concentric circles of downwardly extending members, said apparatus comprising:
- (a) a base member, a cavity being provided in said base member of predetermined size, and an open top end being provided in said base member; and
- (b) a top member being detachably connected to the open top end of the base member, said top member being defined by an open bottom end and by an arcuate-shaped open top end, and a cavity being provided in the top member communicating with the cavity in the bottom member.
- 2. Apparatus according to claim 1 wherein the base member is defined by vertically upright, spaced-apart, parallel side walls and by vertically up right, spaced-apart, parallel end walls intersecting perpendicularly therewith and defining said cavity of predetermined size.
- 3. Apparatus according to claim 1 wherein the top member is defined by vertically upright, spaced-apart, side walls each being defined by a top edge and a bottom edge, said side walls each being of arcuate shape at the top edges whereby to define said arcuate-shaped open top end.
- 4. Apparatus according to claim 1 wherein the apparatus further comprises fastening means for detachably connecting the top member to said base member and providing such in sealed engagement.
- 5. Apparatus according to claim 1 wherein the apparatus further comprises an ultrasonic transducer being provided in the base member of the apparatus.
- 6. Apparatus for use in the ultrasonic cleaning of a chandelier comprising a plurality of vertically disposed, elongated pendants of predetermined length, each of said pendants being defined by a top end and a closed bottom end and being suspended at its top end vertically downwardly, the plurality of downwardly extending pendants being arranged in a plurality of concentric circles, said apparatus comprising in combination:
- (a) a base member defined by vertically upright, spaced-apart, parallel side walls and vertically upright, spaced-apart, parallel end walls intersecting perpendicularly therewith and defining an internal cavity of predetermined size, said base member being further defined by an open top end and a closed bottom end; and
- (b) a top member being detachably connected to the top end of the base member, said top member being defined by opposed side walls spaced-apart a predetermined distance from one another, and parallel end walls spaced-apart from one another a predetermined distance and that intersect perpendicularly with the side walls, each of said side and end walls of the top member being defined by top edges and bottom edges whereby an open top end and an open bottom end is provided to the top member and an internal cavity is provided in the top member that communicates with the internal cavity provided in the base member, said top edges of the side walls each being of a predetermined curvature and parallel to one another thereby defining an open top end of arcuate shape.
- 7. Apparatus according to claim 6 wherein the curvature of the top edges of the side walls are defined by concentric circles and the concentric circles defining the side walls are of the same concentricity as those defined by the downwardly extending pendants of the chandelier.
- 8. Apparatus according to claim 7 wherein the top edges of the side walls are spaced apart from one another a distance only sufficient to accommodate one of the concentric circles of pendants.
- 9. Apparatus according to claim 8 wherein an immersible ultrasonic transducer is provided in the base member.
- 10. Apparatus for use in the ultrasonic cleaning of a chandelier comprising a plurality of concentric circles of downwardly extending members, said apparatus comprising:
- (a) a base member, a cavity being provided in said base member of predetermined size, and an open top end being provided in said base member; and
- (b) a top member being detachably connected to the open top end of the base member, said top member being defined by vertically upright, spaced-apart, side walls each being defined by a top edge and a bottom edge, said side walls each being of arcuate shape at the top edges whereby to define said arcuate-shaped open top end, said top member being further defined by an open bottom end, and a cavity being provided in the top member communicating with the cavity in the bottom member.
- 11. Apparatus according to claim 10 wherein the arcuate-shaped open top end is of the same curvature as a circle of the downwardly extending members in the chandelier.
