Claims
- 1. In an apparatus for the surface treatment of extruded thermoplastic foam tubes comprising an internal air nozzle and an external air ring mounted adjacent to a tubular extrusion die orifice, the improvement which comprises an internal mandrel provided downstream of said die orifice said mandrel being provided with a radial aperture acting as an air vent, said air vent having adjusting means to control the air flow through the air vent and thus within said foam tube, such a control means being adjustable while such a foam tube is being extruded from said die orifice.
