Abstract
An apparel system can include: a body, the body including a first side, a second side, a first neck hole, and a second neck hole; a first elongated section coupled to the first neck hole, the first elongated section including a first elongated inner side, a first elongated outer side, and a first elongated section edge, the first elongated inner side defining a first elongated section inner cavity; and a second elongated section coupled to the second neck hole, the second elongated section including a second elongated inner side, a second elongated outer side, and a second elongated section edge, the second elongated inner side defining a second elongated section inner cavity.

CROSS-REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATIONS

This application claims priority benefit to China patent application Serial No. 201820588841.2, previously filed on Apr. 24, 2018.


TECHNICAL FIELD

This disclosure relates to apparel, more particularly to apparel including multiple neck holes.


BACKGROUND

Shawls, scarfs, and blankets have provided warmth and comfort throughout human history. However, as weather conditions worsen shawls, scarfs, and blankets can become insufficient to provide environmental protection and purpose designed weather gear, such as wind breakers, and gloves, are used.


Purpose designed weather gear can provide more protection but generally loses versatility as the clothing article will usually be designed to be worn on a single body part or area. There is therefore a need for an apparel system that can provide the higher levels of protection obtained from purpose designed weather gear and the versatility offered by a scarf, shawl, or blanket.


Solutions have been long sought but prior developments have not taught or suggested any complete solutions, and solutions to these problems have long eluded those skilled in the art. Thus, there remains a considerable need for systems that can simultaneously provide enhanced environmental protection and enhanced utility.


SUMMARY

An apparel system simultaneously providing enhanced environmental protection and enhanced utility, is disclosed. The apparel system and methods can include: a body, the body including a first side, a second side, a first neck hole, and a second neck hole; a first elongated section coupled to the first neck hole, the first elongated section including a first elongated inner side, a first elongated outer side, and a first elongated section edge, the first elongated inner side defining a first elongated section inner cavity; and a second elongated section coupled to the second neck hole, the second elongated section including a second elongated inner side, a second elongated outer side, and a second elongated section edge, the second elongated inner side defining a second elongated section inner cavity.


Other contemplated embodiments can include objects, features, aspects, and advantages in addition to or in place of those mentioned above. These objects, features, aspects, and advantages of the embodiments will become more apparent from the following detailed description, along with the accompanying drawings.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

In the following description, reference is made to the accompanying drawings that form a part hereof, and in which are shown by way of illustration, embodiments in which the apparel system may be practiced. It is to be understood that other embodiments may be utilized and structural changes may be made without departing from the scope of the apparel system.


When features, aspects, or embodiments of the apparel system are described in terms of steps of a process, an operation, a control flow, or a flow chart, it is to be understood that the steps can be combined, performed in a different order, deleted, or include additional steps without departing from the apparel system as described herein.


The apparel system is described in sufficient detail to enable those skilled in the art to make and use the apparel system and provide numerous specific details to give a thorough understanding of the apparel system; however, it will be apparent that the apparel system may be practiced without these specific details.


In order to avoid obscuring the apparel system, some well-known system configurations and descriptions are not disclosed in detail. Likewise, the drawings showing embodiments of the system are semi-diagrammatic and not to scale and, particularly, some of the dimensions are for the clarity of presentation and are shown greatly exaggerated in the drawing FIGs. Generally, the apparel system can be operated in any orientation.


Referring now to FIG. 1, therein is shown an isometric view of the apparel system 100 in a straight configuration. The apparel system 100 is depicted including a body 102.


The body 102 can include a first side 104 and a second side 106. The first side 104 is defined in relationship to the second side 106 and can be the side of the apparel system 100 opposite the second side 106.


The body 102 can further include a first neck hole 108 and a second neck hole 110. The first neck hole 108 can include a first elongated section 122. The first elongated section 122 can include a first elongated inner side 124, a first elongated outer side 126, and a first elongated section inner cavity 128 created, bordered, and formed within the first elongated inner side 124.


The first elongated inner side 124 and the first elongated outer side 126 can extend perpendicularly away from the body 102 and can terminate on one end in a first elongated section edge 130. The first elongated section edge 130 can be the edge of the apparel system 100 where the first elongated inner side 124 and the first elongated outer side 126 come into direct contact.


The first elongated section 122 can further include a first flared section 132. The first flared section 132 can be in direct contact with a portion of the first elongated section 122 near the body 102 and in direct contact with the body 102. The first elongated section 122 is depicted longer than a diameter of the first neck hole 108, likewise, a diameter of the first elongated section 122 is smaller than a diameter of the first neck hole 108.


The first flared section 132 can be a uniform flare meaning all portions of the first flared section 132 converge to the first elongated section 122 uniformly. That is the first elongated section 122 is akin to a turtle neck than to a sleeve hole which do not have uniform flares. The first elongated outer side 126 and the first elongated inner side 124 can contact the first flared section 132.


The body 102 can further include the second neck hole 110. The second neck hole 110 can include a second elongated section 142. The second elongated section 142 can include a second elongated inner side 144, a second elongated outer side 146, and a second elongated section inner cavity 148 created, bordered, and formed within the second elongated inner side 144.


The first elongated inner side 124 and the second elongated outer side 146 can extend perpendicularly away from the body 102 and can terminate on one end in a second elongated section edge 150. The second elongated section edge 150 can be the edge of the apparel system 100 where the second elongated inner side 144 and the second elongated outer side 146 come into direct contact.


The second elongated section 142 can further include a second flared section 152. The second flared section 152 can be in direct contact with a portion of the second elongated section 142 near the body 102 and in direct contact with the body 102.


The second flared section 152 can be a uniform flare meaning all portions of the second flared section 152 converge to the second elongated section 142 uniformly. That is the second elongated section 142 is akin to a turtle neck than to a sleeve hole which do not have uniform flares. The second elongated outer side 146 and the second elongated inner side 144 can contact the second flared section 152.


It has been unexpectedly discovered that the apparel system 100 including the first neck hole 108 and the second neck hole 110 provides many unexpected results. Notably, the first neck hole 108 and the second neck hole 110 can be used to provide multiple different configurations of the apparel system 100 instead of only one shape or configuration. The normal scarf during a windy winter is easy to lose or get blown away.


Illustratively, it has been discovered that the first neck hole 108 and the second neck hole 110 should be from eight to twelve inches in diameter. The first neck hole 108 and the second neck hole 110 can be distinguished from arm holes or sleeves because those or ordinary skill in the art would distinguish the features of an asymmetrical flare and smaller hole of less than six inches in diameter of a sleeve and the larger hole diameter symmetrical flared section of the apparel system 100.


The first neck hole 108 and the second neck hole 110 can stretch to fit most necks. The first neck hole 108 and the second neck hole 110 can be positioned between thirty five inches and forty inches apart along the body 102. The first elongated section 122 and the second side 106 can extend seven to twelve inches from the first flared section 132 and the second flared section 152, respectively. It has been discovered that providing the first elongated section 122 and the second elongated section 142 with a length of seven to twelve inches can provide enhanced coverage for necks of most dimensions.


The first elongated section 122 and the second elongated section 142 can extend seven to twelve inches away from the body 102. That is, the first elongated section edge 130 and the second elongated section edge 150 can be seven to twelve inches away from the body 102 when the first elongated section 122 or the second elongated section 142 are fully extended away from the body 102.


It should be understood by those of ordinary skill in the art that the elements of the apparel system 100 including the first neck hole 108 with the first elongated section 122, first elongated inner side 124, first elongated outer side 126, first elongated section edge 130, and the first flared section 132 are defined by their relationship to each other and to the body 102. It is contemplated that the first elongated section 122 can be inverted to extend orthogonally away from the second side 106 rather than extending away from the first side 104, which is depicted.


Further it is contemplated that the body 102 can be folded and otherwise deformed as is depicted in FIGS. 2-7, for example. Illustratively, it is contemplated that the body 102 can be provided in three sections. The first neck hole 108 and the second neck hole 110 can reside in two sections of the body 102 while a middle section between the first neck hole 108 and the second neck hole 110 can remain therebetween without holes.


The position of the first neck hole 108 and the second neck hole 110 being thirty five to forty inches apart and in two different thirds of the body 102 have been found to be a critical range for simultaneously providing an unexpected enhancement in environmental protection and unexpected enhancement in utility. Specifically, the position of the first neck hole 108 and the second neck hole 110 can increase the versatility of the apparel system 100 by allowing a user to wear the apparel system 100 in multiple configurations and in multiple different weather conditions; many notable examples of which are described herein.


The position of the first neck hole 108 and the second neck hole 110 has been arrived by comparing a multitude of various different positions conducted over multiple tests both inside and outside the disclosed range of positions for the first neck hole 108 and the second neck hole 110. These attempts to define the position of the first neck hole 108 and the second neck hole 110 demonstrated the unexpectedness of the results as well as the criticality of the disclosed position.


Referring now to FIG. 2, therein is shown an isometric view of the apparel system 100, of FIG. 1, in a folded configuration. The apparel system 100 is depicted having the first neck hole 108 and the second neck hole 110 aligned with a user 202.


The user 202 is depicted having a head 204, a neck 206, shoulders 208, arms 210, and a torso 212. The first neck hole 108 and the second neck hole 110 can be aligned with one another and aligned with the neck 206 and head 204 of the user 202.


The first elongated section 122 is depicted extended out perpendicularly from the first side 104 of the body 102 while the second elongated section 142 is depicted extended out perpendicularly from the second side 106 of the body 102. The second elongated section 142 can be aligned with the first neck hole 108 and can be fitted or inserted within the first neck hole 108 and further into the first elongated section 122 filling within the first elongated section inner cavity 128.


Referring now to FIG. 3, therein is shown an isometric view of the apparel system 100, of FIG. 1, after the configuration of FIG. 2. The apparel system 100 is depicted covering the neck 206, the shoulders 208, the arms 210, and most of the torso 212 of the user 202.


The second elongated section 142 of FIG. 1 can be in direct contact with the user's 202 neck 206 and can be within the first elongated section 122. The body 102 of the apparel system 100 can be folded in half and aligned with the first side 104 external to the second side 106.


Referring now to FIG. 4, therein is shown an isometric view of the apparel system 100, of FIG. 1, after the configuration of FIG. 3. The user 202 is depicted as opening a cavity 402 between the second side 106 with the user's 202 arm 210.


Referring now to FIG. 5, therein is shown an isometric view of the apparel system 100, of FIG. 1, after the configuration of FIG. 4. The apparel system 100 is depicted with the cavity 402 of FIG. 4 lifted up, over, and behind the user's 202 head 204.


Referring now to FIG. 6, therein is shown an isometric view of the apparel system 100, of FIG. 1, after the configuration of FIG. 5. The apparel system 100 is shown having the first elongated section 122, the second elongated section 142 of FIG. 1, or a combination thereof, extended up onto the head 204 of the user 202 and specifically covering a chin, lips, and mouth of the user 202.


The apparel system 100 can be configured with the first elongated section 122 placed within the second elongated section 142, or the second elongated section 142 placed within the first elongated section 122. When the first elongated section 122 is placed within the second elongated section 142 or when the second elongated section 142 is placed within the first elongated section 122, the body 102 of the apparel system 100 can be folded in half


Referring now to FIG. 7, therein is shown an isometric view of the apparel system 100, of FIG. 1, after the configuration of FIG. 6. The apparel system 100 is shown having the folded body 102 portion forming the cavity 402 of FIG. 4 having the head 204 of the user 202 placed therein.


Referring now to FIG. 8, therein is shown a flow chart 800 for the manufacturing of the apparel system 100 of FIG. 1. The flow chart 800 includes providing a body, the body including a first side, a second side, a first neck hole, and a second neck hole in a block 802; coupling a first elongated section to the first neck hole, the first elongated section including a first elongated inner side, a first elongated outer side, and a first elongated section edge, the first elongated inner side defining a first elongated section inner cavity in a block 804; and coupling a second elongated section to the second neck hole, the second elongated section including a second elongated inner side, a second elongated outer side, and a second elongated section edge, the second elongated inner side defining a second elongated section inner cavity in a block 806.


Thus, it has been discovered that the apparel system furnishes important and heretofore unknown and unavailable solutions, capabilities, and functional aspects. The resulting configurations are straightforward, cost-effective, uncomplicated, highly versatile, accurate, sensitive, and effective, and can be implemented by adapting known components for ready, efficient, and economical manufacturing, application, and utilization.


While the apparel system has been described in conjunction with a specific best mode, it is to be understood that many alternatives, modifications, and variations will be apparent to those skilled in the art in light of the preceding description. Accordingly, it is intended to embrace all such alternatives, modifications, and variations, which fall within the scope of the included claims. All matters set forth herein or shown in the accompanying drawings are to be interpreted in an illustrative and non-limiting sense.

Claims
  • 1. An apparel system comprising: a body, the body including a first side, a second side, a first neck hole, and a second neck hole;a first elongated section coupled to the first neck hole, the first elongated section including a first elongated inner side, a first elongated outer side, and a first elongated section edge, the first elongated inner side defining a first elongated section inner cavity; anda second elongated section coupled to the second neck hole, the second elongated section including a second elongated inner side, a second elongated outer side, and a second elongated section edge, the second elongated inner side defining a second elongated section inner cavity.
  • 2. The system of claim 1 wherein the body is divided into three sections with the first neck hole in a third section and the second neck hole in another third section.
  • 3. The system of claim 1 wherein a length of the first elongated section is longer than a diameter of the first neck hole.
  • 4. The system of claim 1 wherein a diameter of the first elongated section is smaller than a diameter of the first neck hole.
  • 5. The system of claim 1 wherein the first elongated section is configured to be placed within the second elongated section with the body folded in half.
  • 6. An apparel system comprising: a body, the body including a first side, a second side, a first neck hole, and a second neck hole;a first elongated section coupled to the first neck hole, the first elongated section including a first elongated inner side, a first elongated outer side, and a first elongated section edge, the first elongated inner side defining a first elongated section inner cavity;a first flared section coupling the first elongated section with the body, the first flared section flaring from the first elongated section to the first neck hole;a second elongated section coupled to the second neck hole, the second elongated section including a second elongated inner side, a second elongated outer side, and a second elongated section edge, the second elongated inner side defining a second elongated section inner cavity; anda second flared section coupling the second elongated section with the body, the second flared section flaring from the second elongated section to the second neck hole.
  • 7. The system of claim 6 wherein the body of is configured to cover a shoulder of a user with the first neck hole and the second neck hole around a neck of the user.
  • 8. The system of claim 6 wherein the first elongated section and the second elongated section are configured to cover a mouth of a user.
  • 9. The system of claim 6 wherein the body is configured to cover a head of a user with the first neck hole and the second neck hole around a neck of the user.
  • 10. The system of claim 6 wherein the first elongated section and the second elongated section are configured to cover a mouth of a user, and the body is configured to cover a head of the user.
  • 11. A method of manufacturing an apparel system comprising: providing a body, the body including a first side, a second side, a first neck hole, and a second neck hole;coupling a first elongated section to the first neck hole, the first elongated section including a first elongated inner side, a first elongated outer side, and a first elongated section edge, the first elongated inner side defining a first elongated section inner cavity; andcoupling a second elongated section to the second neck hole, the second elongated section including a second elongated inner side, a second elongated outer side, and a second elongated section edge, the second elongated inner side defining a second elongated section inner cavity.
  • 12. The method of claim 11 wherein providing the body includes providing the body divided into three sections with the first neck hole in a third section and the second neck hole in another third section.
  • 13. The method of claim 11 wherein coupling the first elongated section includes coupling the first elongated section with a length longer than a diameter of the first neck hole.
  • 14. The method of claim 11 wherein coupling the first elongated section includes coupling the first elongated section with a diameter smaller than a diameter of the first neck hole.
  • 15. The method of claim 11 wherein coupling the first elongated section includes coupling the first elongated section configured to be placed within the second elongated section with the body folded in half.
  • 16. The method of claim 11 wherein: coupling the first elongated section with the first neck hole includes coupling a first flared section flaring from the first elongated section to the first neck hole; andcoupling the second elongated section with the second neck hole includes coupling a second flared section flaring from the second elongated section to the second neck hole.
  • 17. The method of claim 16 wherein providing the body includes providing the body configured to cover a shoulder of a user with the first neck hole and the second neck hole around a neck of the user.
  • 18. The method of claim 16 wherein coupling the first elongated section and coupling the second elongated section include coupling the first elongated section and coupling the second elongated section configured to cover a mouth of a user.
  • 19. The method of claim 16 wherein providing the body includes providing the body configured to cover a head of a user with the first neck hole and the second neck hole around a neck of the user.
  • 20. The method of claim 16 coupling the first elongated section and coupling the second elongated section include coupling the first elongated section and coupling the second elongated section configured to cover a mouth of a user, and wherein providing the body includes providing the body configured to cover a head of a user.
