Claims
- 1. In a method of recovering oil from an oil bearing material utilizing a flooding agent the improvement comprising using as the agent a solution of a silicon compound formed by combining silicon, an alkali metal hydroxide, and water, in the ratio of 6:1:10 respectively, by mole percent.
- 2. In a secondary oil recovery process for removing oil from an oil bearing material, the improvement comprising utilizing as the oil recovery agent a solution of a silicon compound formed by combining silicon, sodium hydroxide, and water, in the ratio of 6:1:10 respectively, by mole percent.
- 3. In a tertiary oil recovery process for removing oil from an oil bearing material, the improvement comprising utilizing as the oil recovery agent a solution of a silicon compound formed by combining silicon, sodium hydroxide, and water, in the ratio of 6:1:10 respectively, by mole percent.
- 4. In a staged oil recovery process for removing oil from an oil bearing material, the improvement comprising utilizing as the oil recovery agent a solution of a silicon compound formed by combining silicon, sodium hydroxide, and water, in the ratio of 6:1:10 respectively, by mole percent.
