1. Field of the Invention
The present invention is related to areca palm made footwear, and more particular to an arrangement of an insole and an outsole of which the outsole is formed by trimming areca palm leaves to a desired size and which is applicable to various sandals, flip-flops, or the likes.
2. Description of Related Art
Sandals that are currently available in the markets, including thongs, one-piece sandals, or various sandals and slippers, are often made of plastics. Particularly, the commonly used thongs are also made of plastics. Thus, most people are used to wearing plastic sandals.
However, most of the plastic sandals contain an amount of plasticizer that exceeds a regulation-acceptable level and some may be even more 200 times of the acceptable level. Since the wears' soles may be kept in contact with the plastic sandal soles, it may be easy to cause cancel and may also affect the growth of children.
In view of these problems, the present invention aims to provide novel footwear made of areca palm that complies with the idea of environmental protection and is made of a natural substance of areca palm trunk and/or areca palm leaf and can be easily assembled by a user so as to provide the user with convenience.
The primary objective of the present invention is to provide areca palm made footwear, which comprises an arrangement of insole and outsole in which the insole is formed by cutting areca palm leaves to a desired size so that when worn, the areca palm leaf of the insole is set in contact with the wearer's sole, whereby besides being environmentally friendly, the footwear can keep the wearer's sole dry by allowing humidity of the wearer's sole to be absorbed by the areca palm leaf and thus improves the overall utility thereof.
Another objective of the present invention is to provide areca palm made footwear that comprises an outsole made of pulverized areca palm trunk and areca palm leaves so that both the insole and the outsole are made of materials of areca palm leaves and areca palm trunk, whereby decomposition can be naturally conducted when the footwear is disposed of for conservation of environment and also improving overall environmental friendliness.
A further objective of the present invention is to provide areca palm made footwear which comprises an outsole made of a plasticizable material or wood and bonded to an insole made of areca palm leaves in order to improve wear-resistance of the outsole while being comfortable to wear and having an extended lifespan to thereby improve the overall convenience and utility.
The present invention provides a novel structure of areca palm made footwear, which comprises an insole and an outsole. The insole is formed by cutting areca palm leaves to a desired size. The outsole is bonded to the insole. As such, a wearer's foot, when putting on the footwear, is set in contact with the insole made of areca palm leaves, whereby besides being environmentally friendly, the footwear can keep the wearer's sole dry by allowing humidity of the wearer's sole to be absorbed by the areca palm leaf and thus improves the overall utility thereof.
The present invention can be fully understood from the following detailed description and preferred embodiment with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which:

The outsole 20 may be alternatively made of a plasticizable material 21. Or alternatively, the outsole 20 can be made of wood. Further alternatively, the outsole 20 is made of dregs 60 that are formed by pulverizing areca palm trunk and areca palm leaves 30. The outsole 20 can be made by filling the dregs 60 into a mold for shaping. The insole 10 may comprise a Y-shape strap 50 or an X-shaped strap. The insole 10 may be alternatively provided with an arch-like band. The Y-shaped strap 50, the X-shaped strap, or the arch-shape band can be made of plasticizable materials. Alternatively, the Y-shaped strap 50, the X-shaped strap, or the arch-shape band can be made of dregs of pulverized areca palm trunk or areca palm leaves 30. Further, the outsole 20 can be bonded to the insole 10 by glues, adhesives, or riveting.

Further, the outsole 20 can be made of a plasticizable material (such as plastics and rubbers) (see
Further, the insole 10 that is formed by cutting an areca palm leaf 30 is provided with a Y-shaped strap 50. The Y-shaped strap 50 is made of a plasticizable material or dregs 60 formed by pounding and pulverizing areca palm trunks and areca palm leaves 30. The Y-shaped strap 50 has ends extending through the insole 10 and fixed inside the outsole 20 (see
It is appreciated from the above description that the present invention possesses the following practical advantages:
(1) The insole is formed by cutting an areca palm leaf so as to provide a function keeping the wearer's sole dry by allowing the humidity to be absorbed by the areca palm leaf and further, the wearer's sole is set in contact with the areca palm leaf so as to be provided with a sense of being fresh and cool resulting from the areca palm leaf.
(2) The insole and the outsole are both made of natural materials of areca palm leaves and areca palm trunks so that when disposed of, they can be naturally decomposed to thereby reduce pollution to the environment and is of environmental friendliness, and improving overall convenience.
