Claims
- 1. A process for improving, enhancing or modifying the organoleptic properties of a tobacco product, which comprises adding thereto about 1 to about 1000 parts per million based on the weight of tobacco of at least one compound selected from the group of compounds having the formula ##EQU2## wherein R and R.sup.1 represent an alkyl radical comprising 1 to 6 carbon atoms, or a hydrogen atom.
- 2. A tobacco or tobacco product having added thereto about 1 to about 1000 parts per million based on the weight of tobacco of at least one compound selected from the group of compounds having the formula ##EQU3## wherein R and R.sup.1 represent an alkyl radical comprising 1 to 6 carbon atoms, or a hydrogen atom.
