Claims
- 1. An aromatic derivative of butyric acid having the formula ##STR14## wherein R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3 and R.sub.4, each independently, represent hydrogen or lower alkyl, with at least two of radicals R.sub.1 -R.sub.4 being other than hydrogen,
- A represents methylene or dimethylene, substituted or not by lower alkyl; when A represents dimethylene, R.sub.1 and R.sub.3 can form together a methylene or dimethylene radical,
- R.sub.5 and R.sub.6 represent hydrogen, halogen, lower alkyl, lower alkoxy or hydroxy,
- R' represents hydrogen, hydroxyl, lower alkoxy or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 acyloxy,
- R" represents hydrogen or lower alkoxy, or R' and R" taken together form a oxo radical (.dbd.O) when R.sub.1 and R.sub.3 together form a methylene or dimethylene radical, or R' and R" taken together form a hydroxyimino radical (.dbd.N--OH),
- R.sub.8 represents hydrogen or lower alkyl,
- R.sub.7 represents --OR.sub.9 or ##STR15## R.sub.9 represents hydrogen or alkyl having 1-20 carbon atoms, monohydroxyalkyl, polyhydroxyalkyl, aryl or aralkyl, optionally substituted, a sugar residue, carboxyalkyl or alkoxycarbonyl alkyl,
- r' and r" represent hydrogen, lower alkyl, monohydroxyalkyl optionally interrupted by a heteroatom, polyhydroxyalkyl, aryl or benzyl optionally substituted, an amino acid residue or aminated sugar residue or, taken together, form a heterocycle optionally substituted by a C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 hydroxyalkyl, and
- the salts of said compound of formula I and their optical isomers, as well as the tautomeric forms of the compounds of formula I.
- 2. The aromatic derivative of claim 1 selected from the group consisting of:
- 4-(5,8-methano-5,6,7,8-tetrahydro-2-naphthyl)-4-oxo-2-methyl butyric acid,
- 4-(5,8-methano-5,6,7,8-tetrahydro-2-naphthyl)-4-oxo butyric acid,
- 4-(1,4-dimethoxy-5,8-methano-5,6,7,8-tetrahydro-2-naphthyl4-oxo-2-methyl butyric acid,
- 4-(1,4-dimethoxy-5,8-methano-5,6,7,8-ttetrahydro-2-naphthyl)4-oxo butyric acid,
- ethyl 4-(1,4-dimethoxy-5,8-methano-5,6,7,8-tetrahydro-2-naphthyl)-4-oxo butyrate,
- N-ethyl 4-(1,4-dimethoxy-5,8-methano-5,6,7,8-tetrahydro-2-naphthyl)-4-oxo butyramide,
- 4-(5,5,8,8-tetramethyl-5,6,7,8-tetrahydro-2-naphthyl)-4-hydroxy butyric acid,
- 4-(1,1,2,3,3-pentamethyl-5-indanyl)-4-hydroxy butyric acid,
- 4-(1,4-dimethoxy-5,8-methano-5,6,7,8-tetrahydro-2-naphthyl)4-hydroxy butyric acid,
- ethyl 4-(5,5,8,8-tetramethyl-5,6,7,8-tetrahydro-2-2-naphthyl)-4-hydroxyimino butyric acid,
- zinc 4-(1,4-dimethoxy-5,8-methano-5,6,7,8-tetrahydro-2-naphthyl)-4-oxo butyrate, and
- 4-(5,5,8,8-tetramethyl-5,6,7,8-tetrahydro-2-naphthyl)butyric acid.
- 3. The aromatic derivative of claim 1 which is 4-(5,5,8,8-tetramethyl-5,6,7,8-tetrahydro-2-naphthyl)-4-hydroxy butyric acid.
- 4. An aromatic derivative of butyric acid having the formula ##STR16## wherein R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3 and R.sub.4, each independently, represent hydrogen or lower alkyl, with at least two of radicals R.sub.1 -R.sub.4 being other than hydrogen,
- A represents methylene or dimethylene, substituted or not by lower alkyl; when A represent dimethylene, R.sub.1 and R.sub.3 can form together a methylene or dimethylene radical,
- R.sub.5 and R.sub.6 represent hydrogen, halogen, lower alkyl, lower alkoxy or hydroxy,
- R' represent hydrogen, hydroxyl, lower alkoxy or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 acyloxy,
- R" represent hydrogen or lower alkoxy, or R' and R" taken together form an oxo radical (.dbd.O) or hydroxyimino radical (.dbd.N--OH),
- R.sub.8 represents hydrogen or lower alkyl,
- R.sub.7 represents --OR.sub.9,
- R.sub.9 represent a sugar residue, and
- the salts of said compound of formula I and their optical isomers, as well as the tautomeric forms of the compounds of formula I.
- 5. An aromatic derivative of butyric acid having the formula ##STR17## wherein R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3 and R.sub.4, each independently, represent hydrogen or lower alkyl, with at least two of radicals R.sub.1 -R.sub.4 being other than hydrogen,
- A represents methylene or dimethylene, substituted or not by lower alkyl; when A represents dimethylene, R.sub.1 and R.sub.3 can form together a methylene or dimethylene radical,
- R.sub.5 and R.sub.6 represent hydrogen, halogen, lower alkyl, lower alkoxy or hydroxy,
- R' represents hydrogen, hydroxyl, lower alkoxy or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 acyloxy,
- R" represents hydrogen or lower alkoxy, or R' and R" taken together form an oxo radical (.dbd.O) or hydroxyimino radical (.dbd.N--OH),
- R.sub.8 represents hydrogen or lower alkyl,
- R.sub.7 represents ##STR18## r' and r" represent an amino acid residue or aminated sugar residue, and the salts of said compound of formula I and their optical isomers, as well as the tautomeric forms of the compounds of formula I.
- 6. An aromatic derivative of butyric acid having the formula ##STR19## wherein R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3 and R.sub.4, each independently, represent hydrogen or lower alkyl, with at least two of radicals R.sub.1 -R.sub.4 being other than hydrogen,
- A represents methylene or dimethylene, substituted or not by lower alkyl; when A represents dimethylene, R.sub.1 and R.sub.3 can form together a methylene or dimethylene radical,
- R.sub.5 and R.sub.6 represent hydrogen, halogen, lower alkyl, lower alkoxy or hydroxy,
- R' represents hydrogen, hydroxyl, lower alkoxy or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 acyloxy,
- R" represents hydrogen or lower alkoxy, or R' and R" taken together form a hydroxyimino radical (.dbd.N--OH),
- R.sub.8 represents hydrogen or lower alkyl,
- R.sub.7 represents --OR.sub.9 ##STR20## R.sub.9 represents hydrogen or alkyl having 1-20 carbon atoms, monohydroxyalkyl, polyhydroxyalkyl, aryl or aralkyl, optionally substituted, a sugar residue, carboxyalkyl or alkoxycarbonyl alkyl,
- r' and r" represent hydrogen, lower alkyl, monohydroxyalkyl optionally interrupted by a heteroatom, polyhydroxyalkyl, aryl or benzyl optionally substituted, an amino acids residue or aminated sugar residue or, taken together, form a heterocycle optionally substituted by a C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 hydroxyalkyl, and
- the salts of said compound of formula I and their optical isomers, as well as the tautomeric forms of the compounds of formula I.
