Claims
- 1. A compound having a formula selected from the group consisting of wherein R2 is hydrogen or halogen, R3 is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, halogen and alkyl of 1 to 8 carbon atoms, OR′4 is a protected —OH, R″4 is hydrogen or R′4 and R″4 together with the carbons to which they are attached form R5 is hydrogen or alkyl of 1 to 4 carbon atoms, R6 is alkyl or —CH2—O-alkyl of up to 8 carbon atoms, R7 is hydrogen or alkyl or 1 to 8 carbon atoms, R8 and R9 are individually —OH or protected —OH, Z is hydrogen or X is selected from the group consisting of ═O, ═N-Nalk and ═NOAlk2, alk and alk2 are individually alkyl of 1 to 12 carbon atoms optionally interrupted by a member of the group consisting of oxygen, sulfur and nitrogen and unsubstituted or substituted by at least one halogen or a group Re and Rf are individually hydrogen or alkyl of 1 to 6 carbon atoms or taken with the nitrogen form a heterocycle optionally containing a heteroatom selected from the group consisting of oxygen, sulfur and nitrogen and R1 is selected from the group consisting ofa) hydrogen and —OH, b) alkyl, alkenyl and alkynyl of up to 12 carbon atoms optionally interrupted by a member of the group consisting of oxygen, sulfur and nitrogen and unsubstituted or substituted with at least one member of the group consisting of halogen, —OH, —CN, —NO2 and c) alkoxy of 1 to 8 carbon atoms unsubstituted or substituted with at least one member of the group consisting of halogen, —OH, —CN, —NO2 and Ra and Rb are individually selected from the group consisting of hydrogen and alkyl of 1 to 8 carbon atoms or taken together with the nitrogen form a heterocycle optionally containing a second heteroatom selected from the group consisting of oxygen, sulfur and nitrogen; Rc and Rd are individually selected from the group consisting of hydrogen and alkyl of 1 to 12 carbon atoms optionally interrupted by a heteroatom selected from the group consisting of oxygen, sulfur and nitrogen and optionally substituted by at least one member of the group consisting of halogen, —OH, —CN2 and —NO2 or taken together with the nitrogen form a heterocycle optionally containing a second heteroatom selected from the group consisting of oxygen, sulfur and nitrogen.
