Abstract
“ARRANGEMENT APPLIED TO LOW WEIGHT AND HIGH STRENGTH RIBBED METALLIC PALLET”, comprising a pallet (1) is applied to the storage and carriage of each and all type of parts and packages of conventional shape which stand out for having a low weight and large resistance, since it is made of metallic blades the resistance of which is achieved by means of a series of fins or folds (D) originating a reduced mass, large resistance, long cycle life, washable, great dimensional flexibility, low cost, recyclable profile (P), besides not contaminating the products conditioned in it, meeting the specific standard requirements.
Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

This request of Utility Model for a new “ARRANGEMENT APPLIED TO LOW WEIGHT AND HIGH STRENGTH RIBBED METALLIC PALLET” especially of a conventionally conformed metallic pallet, achieved by means of reduced thickness sections which are provided with several folds which increase their strength, designed aiming to obtain a decreased mass product highly resistant to loading and to the weather and general use, with small mass in view of said sections thickness specifically intended to condition any product which may be carried in stackers or “zeloso”, with extreme rationality and cycle life of said pallet, the demanded product being highly opportune, since the market lacks a pallet that offers such strength x weight x cycle life relation.

As known by the experts in the subject, logistics is a paramount issue for the commercial and financial success of the companies from different fields. It is known that logistics refers to the materials/products flow from supplier to consumer and vice versa.

Basically there is the traditional logistics and the reverse logistics with differentiated treatments due to the cost make-up in the latter, which exhorts the reprocessing that the products, materials and packages may go through.

The reverse logistics may be observed for some time now, as an example, in the case of containers used in the beverage industries with the return of their crates or even in the case of canned beverages whose return rate is also generated by the high level of recycling of this package type, which has also a social character.

Another example that may be applied to the reverse logistics is as to the use of pallets stimulated by just-in-time policies where the products turnover is large, and said pallets should be moved all through the productive and distribution chain, so that the stronger and the cheaper the pallet is, the better its cost x benefit relation shall be.

In the present STATE OF THE ART several types of pallets made of wood, plastics, paper, rubber or high specific weight steel are known, each one presenting some type of nuisance as described below:

  • Wooden pallet—excessively heavy, shorter useful life, contaminates the products, it is ecologically incorrect, and it does not support moist;
  • Plastic pallet—high cost, difficult maintenance in cases of cracks and breakages, and they lack dimensional flexibility;
  • Paper pallet—reduced cycle life, non-washable, not resistant to moist and low mechanic resistance;
  • Rubber pallet—high cost, high weight, difficult maintenance and reduced dimensional flexibility;
  • Steel pallet—high weight and high cost.

Therefore, in the present state-of-the-art, all known pallets present some type of nuisance, such as those above mentioned impacting the reverse logistics system which indirectly increase the indirect costs adding value to the final product, which in tough competition days is not recommended at all.

Under such conditions, limitations as to the optimization of the pallets in reverse logistics systems are created which, as already has been remarked, is a determinant factor in the increase of the transportation costs, an important component in the final product cost.

It was thinking of all those problems that the inventor after countless surveys, created the pallet at issue, essentially conformed in a conventional form, that is, formed by lower and higher parts duly spaced, generating a gap where the fork-lifters tongs or other similar equipment such as already practiced in the present days are inserted, an important factor being that it is made in reduced thickness metallic section whose strength is achieved by means of a series of folds performed in said section, in order to making it support high loads, generating a reduced weight, large cycle life and mechanically resistant product.

BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The “ARRANGEMENT APPLIED TO LOW WEIGHT AND HIGH STRENGTH RIBBED METALLIC PALLET”, the pallet (1), object of this request of Utility Model Patent applies to the storage and carriage of each and all type of conventional conformation parts and packages which stands out for having low weight and large resistance, since it is manufactured from metallic blades whose resistance is achieved by means of a series of fins or folds (D) originating a low-mass, high resistance and cycle life profile (P), which can be washed, has a large dimensional flexibility, low cost, is recyclable besides not contaminating the products conditioned in it meeting the specific norm requirements.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

More specifically the innovation refers to a pallet (1) manufactured with a reduced thickness metallic section (P) whose strength is achieved through the conformation of several folds (D), preferably U folds, being able to assume other configurations such as flute (MC), for example, which after being shaped, associates large mechanical strength allied to reduced weight as regards the conventional pallets (1).

The enclosed figures show section (P) in its preferential shape whose constructive arrangement performs alternate U folds (D) being one U fold (D1) upwards and another U fold (D2) downwards.

The construction of the pallet (1) at issue is made with the already shaped sections (P) being arranged in order to form a lower base formed by overlapping sections (P) duly spaced by prismatic stoppers (2) preferably rubber-coated and having a central recess (3) apt to receive at least two U folds (D2) turned downwards and end projections (4) which receive the U folds (D1) turned upwards, thus accurately fitting in said sections (P), generating the pellet (1) support base, besides generating enough gap (5) for the entry of the forklift or similar equipment tong.

Once the base is formed preferably in the number of three, they are locked by transverse sections (PT) connected to the base by already known means, such as weld, screws, rivets or any other means, such as the base those sections (P) are fixed to them, after fitted in the stoppers (2).

Thus the section (P) besides the alternate U fold may assume the flute (MC) shape or any other shape.

The finish of the demanded section (P) may be any one that properly preserves it against corrosion and the due cost/benefit evaluation is required upon the selection of the finish, which may be painted, galvanized, double-chromatic, or any other finish and/or material type.
