Claims
- 1. A programmer for an implantable medical device, the programmer comprising:
a receiver to receive from the implantable medical device information indicative of occurrences of a plurality of types of arrhythmia; and a display including at least one column graph having a plurality of distinguishing types of column symbol, the distinguishing types each indicative of a frequency of one type of the plurality of types of arrhythmia detected over a first predetermined period for a second predetermined period including one or more of the first predetermined periods.
- 2. The programmer of claim 1, further comprising a transmitter to transmit detection zones of interest each classifying one type of the plurality of types of arrhythmia to the implantable medical device.
- 3. The programmer of claim 1, wherein the display comprises a legend associating a text label with a sample of each type of the plurality of distinguishing types of column symbol.
- 4. The programmer of claim 3, wherein the display comprises numerical data labels each indicative of a number of occurrences of the plurality of types of arrhythmia detected over each of the one or more first predetermined periods and the second predetermined period.
- 5. The programmer of claim 3, wherein the column graph further comprises grid lines to visually communicate a level of frequency with respect to the column symbols.
- 6. The programmer of claim 1, wherein the plurality of distinguishing types of column symbol comprises column symbols diverse in color.
- 7. The programmer of claim 6, wherein the plurality of distinguishing types of column symbol comprises column symbols diverse in gray scale.
- 8. The programmer of claim 1, wherein the plurality of distinguishing types of column symbol comprises column symbols diverse in pattern.
- 9. The programmer of claim 8, wherein the plurality of distinguishing types of column symbol comprises column symbols diverse in pattern and color.
- 10. The programmer of claim 1, wherein the display comprises an electrogram display to present at least one electrogram.
- 11. The programmer of claim 10, wherein the electrogram display comprises presentation of markers including labels each indicating a type of arrhythmia on a region of the electrogram associated with the type of arrhythmia.
- 12. A system comprising:
an implantable cardioverter defibrillator including a memory to store a count for each detected occurrence of each type of a plurality of types of arrhythmia; and a medical device programmer to communicate with the implantable cardioverter defibrillator, the medical device programmer including:
a programmer transmitter to transmit predetermined detection zones of interest each specifying one type of the plurality of types of arrhythmia to the implantable cardioverter defibrillator; a programmer receiver to receive the count for each detected occurrence of each type of the plurality of types of arrhythmia from the implantable cardioverter defibrillator; and a display including a plurality of graphs each showing a frequency of occurrences of at least one type of the plurality of types of arrhythmia.
- 13. The system of claim 12, wherein the plurality of graphs each comprise one or more types of symbol each representing one type of the plurality of types of arrhythmia.
- 14. The system of claim 13, wherein display comprises a legend associating a text label with a sample of a symbol of each type of the one or more types of symbol.
- 15. The system of claim 14, wherein display comprises numerical data labels each indicative of a number of occurrences of the detected types of arrhythmia over a predetermined period of time.
- 16. The system of claim 15, wherein the plurality of graphs comprise at least one column graph including column symbols each indicative of a frequency of occurrences for each detected type of arrhythmia.
- 17. The system of claim 16, wherein the at least one column graph comprises grid lines to visually communicate a level of frequency with respect to the column symbols.
- 18. A method, comprising;
specifying a plurality of zones of interest for detecting a plurality of types of arrhythmia; transmitting the specified zones of interest to an implantable medical device; receiving occurrences of one or more types of the plurality of types of arrhythmia detected by the implantable medical device; and presenting a plurality of graphs each showing a frequency of occurrences for at least one type of the plurality of types of arrhythmia detected over a predetermined period of time.
- 19. The method of claim 18, wherein specifying the plurality of zones of interest comprises programming a range of heart rates for each of the plurality of zones of interest.
- 20. The method of claim 18, wherein presenting the plurality of graphs comprises displaying the plurality of graphs each including one or more types of symbol each representing one type of the plurality of types of arrhythmia.
- 21. The method of claim 20, furthering comprising displaying a legend associating a text label with a type of the one or more types of symbol.
- 22. The method of claim 21, furthering comprising displaying numerical data labels each indicative of a number of occurrences of the plurality of types of arrhythmia detected over the predetermined period of time.
- 23. The method of claim 22, wherein the symbols are column symbols each having a height indicative of the frequency of occurrences for each of the plurality of types of arrhythmia.
- 24. The method of claim 23, furthering comprising displaying grid lines to visually communicate a level of frequency with respect to the column symbols.
