Claims
- 1. An abrasive tool comprising a tool base having a supporting surface and an abrasive surface layer on said supporting surface, said abrasive layer for removing material from a workpiece surface by contact therewith and relative movement thereof along a tool axis, said abrasive surface layer comprising a plurality of abrasive surface layer portions aligned in adjacent relationship along a tool axis, each of said portions comprising a plurality of peaked abrasive elements extending from said supporting surface in a pattern of rows defining longitudinal spaces, said rows of said abrasive elements on at least one of said portions being disposed at an acute angle to said tool axis, and said angle being different on each of the adjacent abrasive portions.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
This application is a divisional of application U.S. Ser. No. 07/937,238, filed on Aug. 28, 1992, now U.S. Pat. No 5,213,590 which is a continuation-in-part of application U.S. Ser. No. 07/453,684, filed Dec. 20, 1989 now U.S. Pat. No. 5,181,939.
