Claims
        
                - 1. An article comprising a substrate including one or more regions of high-thermal-conductivity-CVD-diamond-material-infiltrated particles disposed thereon, said high thermal conductivity diamond material having a thermal conductivity of at least 17 Wcm.sup.-1 .degree. K..sup.-1.
- 2. The article of claim 1 wherein said substrate comprises beryllium and said diamond-consolidated particles comprise diamond particles.
- 3. The article of claim 1 wherein said KD particles comprise diamond particles.
- 4. The article of claim 3 wherein the carbon atoms in KD said high thermal conductivity CVD diamond material has a C.sup.13 content less than 0.05 atomic %.
- 5. The article of claim 4 wherein said substrate comprises beryllium and said KD particles comprise diamond particles.
