Claims
- 1. A flower pot cover made by forming at least one sheet of material into a predetermined shape for receiving an object, wherein the flower pot cover comprises a base having a closed lower end and an open upper end with an object opening extending therethrough, wherein the sheet of material is a polymer film which normally is flexible and substantially non-shape-sustaining, wherein the formed flower pot cover is flexible and may be substantially flattened and unflattened to assume the original shape of the formed flower pot cover without substantial loss of the preformed shape thereby providing the flexible yet shape-sustaining nature of the formed flower pot cover, wherein the forming of the sheet of material is accomplished by substantially permanently fixing a portion of the sheet of material into a plurality of folds to form the base of the flower pot cover and for cooperating to retain the flower pot cover in the formed shape.
- 2. The flower pot cover of claim 1 wherein a substantial portion of the folds extend over different distances and at various and arbitrary angles.
- 3. The flower pot cover of claim 1 wherein the flower pot cover further comprises a decorative border extending outward from the open upper end of the base.
- 4. The flower pot cover of claim 3 wherein the decorative border is substantially free of folds.
- 5. The flower pot cover of claim 1 wherein the flower pot cover further comprises a sheet of material having a thickness of less than about 3.0 mils.
- 6. The flower pot cover of claim 1 wherein the flower pot cover further comprises a sheet of material having a thickness of less than about 1.5 mils.
- 7. The flower pot cover of claim 1 wherein the flower pot cover further comprises a bonding means disposed upon at least a portion thereof.
- 8. A flower pot cover made by forming at least one sheet of material into a predetermined shape for receiving an object, wherein the flower pot cover comprises
- a base having a closed lower end and an open upper end with an object opening extending therethrough,
- wherein the sheet of material forming the flower pot cover is flexible,
- wherein the formed flower pot cover is flexible and the flower pot cover is capable of being substantially flattened and unflattened to assume the original shape of the formed flower pot cover without substantial loss of the preformed shape, thereby providing the flexible yet shape sustaining nature of the formed flower pot cover,
- wherein the forming of the flower pot cover is accomplished by forming a portion of the sheet of material into a plurality of folds to form the base of the flower pot cover, said folds cooperating to retain the flower pot cover in the formed shape.
- 9. The flower pot cover of claim 8 wherein a substantial portion of the folds extend over different distances and at various and arbitrary angles.
- 10. The flower pot cover of claim 8 wherein the flower pot cover further comprises a decorative border extending outward from the open upper end of the base.
- 11. The flower pot cover of claim 10 wherein the decorative border is substantially free of folds.
- 12. The flower pot cover of claim 8 wherein the flower pot cover further comprises a sheet of material having a thickness of less than about 3.0 mils.
- 13. The flower pot cover of claim 8 wherein the flower pot cover further comprises a sheet of material having a thickness of less than about 1.5 mils.
- 14. The flower pot cover of claim 8 wherein the flower pot cover further comprises a bonding means disposed upon at least a portion thereof.
- 15. The flower pot cover of claim 8 wherein the flower pot cover is formed from a sheet of material selected from the group consisting of polymer film, foil, and combinations thereof.
- 16. The flower pot cover of claim 8 wherein the sheet or material used to form the flower pot cover is a relatively thin polymer film which is flexible and substantially non-shape sustaining.
- 17. An article, comprising:
- a flower pot cover made by forming at least one sheet of material into a predetermined shape for receiving an object, wherein the flower pot cover comprises
- a base having a closed lower end and an open upper end with an object opening extending therethrough,
- wherein folds are formed in the sheet of material whereby the formed flower pot cover is flexible and may be substantially flattened and then unflattened to assume the original shape of the formed flower pot cover without substantial loss of the preformed shape thereby providing the flexible yet shape-sustaining nature of the formed flower pot cover, and
- wherein the forming of the flower pot cover is accomplished by forming a portion of the sheet of material into a plurality of folds to form the base of the flower pot cover, said folds cooperating to retain the flower pot cover in both the flexible and formed shape.
- 18. The flower pot cover of claim 17 wherein a substantial portion of the folds extend over different distances and at various and arbitrary angles.
- 19. The flower pot cover of claim 17 wherein the flower pot cover further comprises a decorative border extending outward from the open upper end of the base.
- 20. The flower pot cover of claim 19 wherein the decorative border is substantially free of folds.
- 21. The flower pot cover of claim 17 wherein the flower pot cover further comprises a sheet of material having a thickness of less than about 3.0 mils.
- 22. The flower pot cover of claim 17 wherein the flower pot cover further comprises a sheet of material having a thickness of less than about 1.5 mils.
- 23. The flower pot cover of claim 17 wherein the flower pot cover further comprises a bonding means disposed upon at least a portion thereof.
- 24. The flower pot cover of claim 17 wherein the flower pot cover is formed from a sheet of material selected from the group consisting of polymer film, foil, and combinations thereof.
- 25. The flower pot cover of claim 17 wherein the sheet or material used to form the flower pot cover is a relatively thin polymer film which is flexible and substantially non-shape sustaining.
- 26. An article, comprising:
- a flower pot cover made by forming at least one sheet of material into a predetermined shape for receiving an object, wherein the flower pot cover comprises
- a base having a closed lower end and an open upper end with an object opening extending therethrough,
- wherein folds are formed in the sheet of material, a substantial portion of the folds extending over different distances and at various and arbitrary angles, whereby the formed flower pot cover is flexible and may be substantially flattened and then unflattened to assume the original shape of the formed flower pot cover without substantial loss of the preformed shape thereby providing the flexible yet shape-sustaining nature of the formed flower pot cover, and
- wherein the forming of the flower pot cover is accomplished by forming a portion of the sheet of material into a plurality of folds to form the base of the flower pot cover, said folds cooperating to retain the flower pot cover in both the flexible and formed shape.
- 27. The flower pot cover of claim 26 wherein the flower pot cover further comprises a decorative border extending outward from the open upper end of the base.
- 28. The flower pot cover of claim 27 wherein the decorative border is substantially free of folds.
- 29. The flower pot cover of claim 26 wherein the flower pot cover further comprises a sheet of material having a thickness of lees than about 3.0 mils.
- 30. The flower pot cover of claim 26 wherein the flower pot cover further comprises a sheet of material having a thickness of less than about 1.5 mils.
- 31. The flower pot cover of claim 26 wherein the flower pot cover further comprises a bonding means disposed upon at least a portion thereof.
- 32. The flower pot cover of claim 26 wherein the flower pot cover is formed from a sheet of material selected from the group consisting of polymer film, foil, and combinations thereof.
- 33. The flower pot cover of claim 26 wherein the sheet or material used to form the flower pot cover is a relatively thin polymer film which is flexible and substantially non-shape sustaining.
- 34. An article, comprising:
- a flower pot cover made by forming at least one sheet of material into a predetermined shape for receiving an object, wherein the flower pot cover comprises
- a base having a closed lower end and an open upper end with an object opening extending therethrough, a bonding means disposed on at least a portion of the flower pot cover,
- wherein folds are formed in the sheet of material whereby the formed flower pot cover is flexible and may be substantially flattened and then unflattened to assume the original shape of the formed flower pot cover without substantial loss of the preformed shape thereby providing the flexible yet shape-sustaining nature of the formed flower pot cover, and
- wherein the forming of the flower pot cover is accomplished by forming a portion of the sheet of material into a plurality of folds to form the base of the flower pot cover, said folds cooperating to retain the flower pot cover in both the flexible and formed shape.
- 35. The flower pot cover of claim 34 wherein a substantial portion of the folds extend over different distances and at various and arbitrary angles.
- 36. The flower pot cover of claim 34 wherein the flower pot cover further comprises a decorative border extending outward from the open upper end of the base.
- 37. The flower pot cover of claim 36 wherein the decorative border is substantially free of folds.
- 38. The flower pot cover of claim 34 wherein the flower pot cover further comprises a sheet of material having a thickness of less than about 3.0 mils.
- 39. The flower pot cover of claim 34 wherein the flower pot cover further comprises a sheet of material having a thickness of less than about 1.5 mils.
- 40. The flower pot cover of claim 34 wherein the bonding means comprises an adhesive.
- 41. The flower pot cover of claim 34 wherein the flower pot cover is formed from a sheet of material selected from the group consisting of polymer film, foil, and combinations thereof.
- 42. The flower pot cover of claim 34 wherein the sheet or material used to form the flower pot cover is a relatively thin polymer film which is flexible and substantially non-shape sustaining.
- 43. The flower pot cover of claim 34 wherein the bonding means comprises a lacquer.
- 44. An article, comprising:
- a flower pot cover made by forming at least one sheet of material into a predetermined shape for receiving an object, wherein the flower pot cover comprises
- a base having a closed lower end and an open upper end with an object opening extending therethrough, the base comprising a decorative border extending outward from the open upper end of the base,
- wherein folds are formed in the sheet of material whereby the formed flower pot cover is flexible and may be substantially flattened and then unflattened to assume the original shape of the formed flower pot cover without substantial loss of the preformed shape thereby providing the flexible yet shape-sustaining nature of the formed flower pot cover, and
- wherein the forming of the flower pot cover is accomplished by forming a portion of the sheet of material into a plurality of folds to form the base of the flower pot cover, said folds cooperating to retain the flower pot cover in both the flexible and formed shape.
- 45. The flower pot cover of claim 44 wherein a substantial portion of the folds extend over different distances and at various and arbitrary angles.
- 46. The flower pot cover of claim 44 wherein the decorative border is substantially free of folds.
- 47. The flower pot cover of claim 44 wherein the flower pot cover further comprises a sheet of material having a thickness of less than about 3.0 mils.
- 48. The flower pot cover of claim 44 wherein the flower pot cover further comprises a sheet of material having a thickness of less than about 1.5 mils.
- 49. The flower pot cover of claim 44 wherein the flower pot cover further comprises a bonding means disposed upon at least a portion thereof.
- 50. The flower pot cover of claim 44 wherein the flower pot cover is formed from a sheet of material selected from the group consisting of polymer film, foil, and combinations thereof.
- 51. The flower pot cover of claim 44 wherein the sheet or material used to form the flower pot cover is a relatively thin polymer film which is flexible and substantially non-shape sustaining.
