Claims
- 1. A method of treating vascular thrombosis in warm-blooded animals which comprises administering to a warm-blooded animal in need of such treatment an amount effective for treating vascular thrombosis of an arylacetylene of the formula, ##SPC5##
- wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are monovalent groups independently selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 alkyl, and C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 alkoxy; and Z is a monovalent group of the formula, ##SPC6##
- wherein R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 are monovalent groups independently selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 alkyl, and C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 alkoxy, with the proviso that at least one of R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3, and R.sub.4 must be other than hydrogen.
- 2. The method of claim 1, wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, methyl, and methoxy.
- 3. The method of claim 1, wherein R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 are selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, methyl, and methoxy.
- 4. The method of claim 1, wherein R.sub.1 is hydrogen; R.sub.2 is hydrogen or methoxy; and R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 independently are hydrogen or methyl.
- 5. The method of claim 4, wherein the arylacetylene is (2-methoxy-4-biphenyl)acetylene.
- 6. The method of claim 4, wherein the arylacetylene is (2'-methyl-4-biphenyl)acetylene.
