DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The following illustrative embodiments and drawings are provided to illustrate the disclosure of the present invention, these and other advantages and effects can be clearly understood by persons skilled in the art after reading the disclosure of this specification.

As shown in FIG. 1 to FIG. 4, an assembled backpack of a preferred embodiment according to the present invention includes a main bag 10 and an additional bag 22 which is detachably mounted on the main bag 10.

The main bag 10 includes a main compartment 12 and two straps 14. The two straps are connected to the main compartment 12 for a user to wear the main compartment 12 on back. The straps 14 can include one strap to make the assembled backpack as a one-shoulder backpack. The main compartment 12 has an inner surface 122 and an outer surface positioned back-to-back. When the main compartment 12 is worn on back, the inner surface 122 faces the user's body.

The main compartment 12 is provided with at least one first engaging member, which is at least one pair of first engaging straps in the current embodiment, but not limited thereto; the at least one first engaging member can also be at least one first engaging strap. The at least one pair of first engaging straps include a plurality of pairs of first engaging straps, which are four pairs of first engaging straps in the current embodiment, that is, four first engaging members, including a first pair of first engaging straps 16a, a second pair of first engaging straps 16b, a third pair of first engaging straps 16c, and a fourth pair of first engaging straps 16d. The first pair of first engaging straps 16a, the third pair of first engaging straps 16c, the second pair of first engaging straps 16b, and the fourth pair of first engaging straps 16d are sequentially arranged from high position to low position. The first pair of first engaging straps 16a is at a top of the outer surface 124 of the main compartment 12, the fourth pair of first engaging straps 16d is at a bottom of the outer surface 124 of the main compartment 12, and the second pair of first engaging straps 16b and the third pair of first engaging straps 16c are on the outer surface 124.

At least one fastened member is disposed at the outer surface 124 of the main compartment 12. In the current embodiment, the at least one fastened member includes a plurality of fastened members. The plurality of fastened members include a fastener 18, such as a hook or loop fastener, between the first pair of first engaging straps 16a and the third pair of first engaging straps 16c, and a plurality of rows of webbing loops 20 between the third pair of first engaging straps 16c and the second pair of first engaging straps 16b. The plurality of fastened members are adapted to allow for the attachment of various objects, such as fastening objects to the fastener 18 or attaching pouches and bullet magazines to the webbing loops 20.

In practice, the first pair of first engaging straps 16a can be disposed at a top of the main compartment 12, or at the top of the main compartment 12 and at a top edge of the outer surface 124.

The additional bag 22 includes an additional compartment 24, a first sealing member which is a first zipper 34 as an example, and a second closure which is a second zipper 36 as an example. The additional compartment 24 has a first cloth 26 and a second cloth 28 positioned back-to-back and has a first side edge portion 30 and a second side edge portion 32 positioned at opposite ends. The first side edge portion 30 and the second side edge portion 32 are at two opposite edges of the first cloth 26 and the second cloth 28. A virtual center line i is defined between the first side edge portion 30 and the second side edge portion 32 of the additional compartment and divides the additional compartment 24 into two halves. In the current embodiment, the centerline i is halfway between an outermost edge of the first side edge portion 30 and an outermost edge of the second side edge portion 32.

At least one storage space is formed between the first cloth 26 and the second cloth 28. The first cloth 26 has a first opening 262 communicating with the storage space inside the additional compartment 24, and the second cloth 28 has a second opening 282 communicating with the storage space inside the additional compartment 24. The first opening 262 is located between the first side edge portion 30 and the center line i, and the second opening 282 is located between the second side edge portion 32 and the center line i. The first zipper 34 and the second zipper 36 are respectively disposed at a periphery of the first opening 262 and at a periphery of the second opening 282. The first zipper 34 and the second zipper 36 can be opened in the same opening direction D to open the first opening 262 and the second opening 282 respectively.

In the current embodiment, a distance between the first opening 262 and the first side edge portion 30 is less than that between first opening 262 and the center line i, that is, a distance between the first zipper 34 and the first side edge portion 30 is less than that between the first zipper 34 and the center line i. And, a distance between the second opening 282 and the second side edge portion 32 is less than that between the second opening 282 and the center line i, that is, a distance between the second zipper 36 and the second side edge portion 32 is less than that between the second zipper 36 and the center line i. The first zipper 34 is parallel to the second zipper 36.

In practice, the additional compartment 24 can further include a dividing cloth between the first cloth 26 and the second cloth 28. The dividing cloth divides the interior of the additional compartment 24 into two storage spaces. The first opening 262 and the second opening 282 respectively communicate with the two storage spaces.

In addition to use zippers as the first sealing member and the second sealing member, the first opening 262 and the second opening 282 can be open or closed by other means, such as hook-loop fasteners, buckles, snap buttons, or strings.

A first fastened member 38 is disposed on the first cloth 26. The first fastened member 38 includes a drawstring 382 and a fastener 384, or one of those. A second fastened member 40 is disposed on the second cloth 28. The second fastened member 40 includes a plurality of webbing loops 42. The first fastened member 38 and the second fastened member 40 have different forms.

The first side edge portion 30 is provided with a second engaging member, and the second side edge portion is also provided with a second engaging member. In the current embodiment, each of the second engaging members includes two second engaging straps 44. The two second engaging straps 44 of one of the first side edge portion 30 and the second side edge portion 32 are respectively detachably connected to any pair of first engaging straps 16a, 16b, 16c, or 16d, so that the additional compartment 24 is mounted on the main compartment 12, and one of the first cloth 26 and the second cloth 28 faces away from the inner surface 122. Each of the second engaging straps 44 is connected to a corresponding pair of first engaging straps 16a, 16b, 16c, or 16d through a linking member, which is a strap hook 46 in the current embodiment. Two ends of the strap hook 46 have a hook section 462 each. One of the hook sections 462 fits into a loop of the second engaging strap 44, while the other hook section 462 fits into a loop of the first engaging strap 16a, 16b, 16c, or 16d. In practice, the linking member can be detached by other means, such as a male-female buckle or a male-female snap.

The advantage of using a pair of first engaging strap and a corresponding pair of second engaging straps 44 is that there could be two support points at the top or the bottom of the additional compartment 24 to help the additional compartment 24 to be secured and not to swing left-and-right. In practice, when the at least one first engaging member is one first engaging strap, the second engaging member is one second engaging strap 44. Preferably, the position of the second engaging strap 44 is located at the center of the lateral direction of the additional compartment 24 to avoid the tilt of the additional compartment 24.

When the two second engaging straps 44 of one of the first side edge portion 30 and the second side edge portion 32 are connected to the first pair of first engaging straps 16a, the additional compartment 24 is outside the outer surface 124, and one of the first cloth 26 and the second cloth 28 faces the outer surface 124. The two second engaging straps 44 of the other one of the first side edge portion 30 and the second side edge portion 32 of the additional compartment 24 can be respectively detachably connected to the second pair of first engaging straps 16b. As shown in FIG. 1, the two second engaging straps 44 of the first side edge portion 30 are connected to the first pair of first engaging straps 16a, and the two second engaging straps 44 of the second side edge portion 32 are connected to the second pair of first engaging straps 16b. The first cloth 26 faces away from the inner surface 122 of the main compartment 12 and the second cloth 28 faces the outer surface 124 of the main compartment 12, so that the first fastened member 38 is exposed outside and the second fastened member 40 is hidden between the outer surface 124 and the second cloth 28. A storage area S is formed between the additional compartment 24 and the outer surface 124. The user can insert object laterally into the storage area S, such as a raincoat, a sleeping pad, or a helmet. In addition, the additional compartment 24 covers the fastened members at the outer surface 124 of the main compartment 12, such as fastener 18 or webbing loops 20, to shield the object secured to the fastened members.

FIG. 1 depicts one example showing the additional bag 22 mounted on the main bag 10, and the two second engaging straps 44 of second side edge portion 32 does not have to be connected to the second pair of first engaging straps 16b. FIG. 5 to FIG. 13 depict different combination configurations of the additional bag 22 mounted on the main bag 10.

As shown in FIG. 5, the two second engaging straps 44 of the second side edge portion 32 are respectively connected to the fourth pair of the first engaging straps 16d at the bottom of the main compartment 12, and the second cloth 28 faces away from the inner surface of the main compartment 12, so that the additional compartment 24 is suspended from the bottom of the main compartment 12. The additional compartment 24 can be flipped upwards so that the first cloth 26 faces the outer surface 124. Furthermore, the two second engaging straps 44 of the first side edge portion 30 can be connected to the third pair of the first engaging straps 16c.

FIG. 5 depicts that an object 481 with a fastener is fastened to the fastener 18, an object 482 with a clip 482a is attached to the webbing loops 20, and an object 483 is inserted through the webbing loops 20. Then, when the additional compartment 24 is flipped upward and the two second engaging straps 44 are connected to the third pair of the first engaging straps 16c, the additional compartment 24 covers and shields the objects 482 and 483.

As shown in FIG. 6, after the second zipper 36 is opened to open the second opening 282, an elongated object 484, such as skis, a snowboard, a gun, or an umbrella, can be inserted into the storage space 24a inside the additional compartment 24. A portion of the object 484 that extends upward can be attached to the main bag 12 by a fastened strap 50 or tied to the fastened members, such as webbing loops 20, by a strap (not shown). Whereby, the user is able to carry the elongated object 484 with the assembled backpack.

As shown in FIG. 7, the two second engaging straps 44 of the first side edge portion 30 can be respectively connected to the fourth pair of the first engaging straps 16d. The second cloth 28 faces away from the inner surface 122 of the main compartment 12. The additional compartment 24 is suspended from the bottom of the main compartment 12, and the elongated object 484 can be inserted into the additional compartment 24.

As shown in FIG. 8, the two second engaging straps 44 of the first side edge portion 30 in FIG. 1 are detached from the first pair of first engaging straps 16a, the additional compartment 24 can be flipped downward, so that the second cloth 28 faces away from the inner surface 122.

As shown in FIG. 9, the two second engaging straps 44 of the second side edge portion 32 in FIG. 1 are detached from the second pair of first engaging straps 16b, the additional compartment 24 can be flipped upward, so that the second cloth 28 faces away from the inner surface 122.

Since the first zipper 34 and the second zipper 36 are respectively located above and below the centerline i, it is convenient for the user to fetch objects inside the additional compartment 24 when the first zipper 34 is above the centerline i as shown in FIG. 1 or when the second zipper 36 is above the centerline i as shown in FIG. 8 and FIG. 9. The first zipper 34 and the second zipper 36 are opened in the same opening direction D, so that if the user wants to open the first zipper 34 or the second zipper 36 of the different combination configurations in FIGS. 1, 8, and 9, it is not necessary to re-adapt to the opening direction D of the zipper, which makes a more convenient operation.

As shown in FIG. 10, the second cloth 28 faces away from the inner surface 122 of the main compartment 12, the two second engaging straps 44 of the second side edge portion 32 are connected to the first pair of the first engaging straps 16a, and the two second engaging straps 44 of the first side edge portion 30 are connected to the second pair of the first engaging straps 16b. When the two second engaging straps 44 of the second side edge portion 32 are detached from the first pair of the first engaging straps 16a, the additional compartment 24 can be flipped downward to make the first cloth 26 facing away from the inner surface 122 of the main compartment 12. On the contrary, when the two second engaging straps 44 of the first side edge portion 30 are detached from the second pair of the first engaging straps 16b, the additional compartment 24 can be flipped upward to make the first cloth 26 facing away from the inner surface 122 of the main compartment 12. FIG. 10 depicts that an object 485 is inserted through the storage area S between the additional compartment 24 and the main compartment 12.

As shown in FIG. 11, the second cloth 28 faces away from the inner surface 122 of the main compartment 12, the two second engaging straps 44 of the second side edge portion 32 are connected to the third pair of the first engaging straps 16c, and the two second engaging straps 44 of the first side edge portion 30 are connected to the fourth pair of the first engaging straps 16d. The additional compartment 24 covers a part of the fastened members, such as the webbing loops 20, at the outer surface 124 of the main compartment 12 to make the fastener 18 exposed outside. As shown in FIG. 12, when the two second engaging straps 44 of the first side edge portion 30 are detached from the fourth pair of the first engaging straps 16d, the additional compartment 24 can be flipped upward to make the first cloth 26 facing away from the inner surface 122 of the main compartment 12 to make other parts of the fastened members, such as loops 20, exposed outside.

As shown in FIG. 13, when the two second engaging straps 44 of the second side edge portion 32 of FIG. 11 are detached from the third pair of the first engaging straps 16c, the additional compartment 24 can be flipped downward and suspended below the bottom of the main compartment 12, so that the first cloth 26 faces away from the inner surface 122 of the main compartment 12.

In addition to the combination configurations described above, the user may attach one of the first side edge portion 30 and the second side edge portion 32 of the additional compartment 24 to any pair of first engaging straps 16a, 16b, 16c, or 16d of the main compartment 12 according to actual requirements.

In conclusion, the assembled backpack of the current invention is adapted to attach the additional compartment 24 to the main compartment 12 or detach the additional compartment 24 from the main compartment 12, and there are various combination configurations of the additional compartment 24 mounted on the main compartment 12, which increases different uses of assembled backpack.
