The invention relates to chairs, particularly to seats or backrests of mesh chairs.
The elements of a chair for supporting a user, which may be a backrest or a seat, are usually made by leather or fabric, sponge covered by the leather or fabric, and a base plate. Although they provide comfortable support, their breathability is bad. Thus, new chairs which appear in the market in recent years adopt a meshed fabric tightened on a frame to serve as a primary support. Mesh with high breathability and flexibility can provide users very good comfort.
However, fastening mesh onto a frame is not easy. Traditional nailing or sewing is hard to provide sufficient strength. Thus, junctions between a meshed fabric and a frame tend to separate. If a complicated mechanic structure is adopted, then the yield rate will be reduced and the cost will be increased.
Further, when a meshed fabric is adopted to serve as a single supporting element, especially for a seat which supports two legs of a user, the user will feel uncomfortable because the user's legs near a rigid frame.
An object of the invention is to provide an assembling structure of seat or backrest of mesh chair, which possesses high efficiency and stability in manufacture.
To accomplish the above object, the seat or backrest of the invention includes a meshed fabric; a frame being of an annular shape and attached by the meshed fabric; a frame seat having fixing holes and a groove for receiving the frame; and a base having an annular carrier on a periphery thereof. The carrier is disposed with assembling holes corresponding to the fixing holes and a surrounding wall for isolating an assembling position of the frame seat. The frame presses the meshed fabric to be embedded into the frame seat so that the meshed fabric is fastened on a side of the frame seat. A plurality of fasteners separately pass through the assembling holes and the meshed fabric and are fastened into the fixing holes, so that the frame seat with the meshed fabric is secured on the base.
The invention provides an assembling structure of a seat 11 or backrest 10 of mesh chair 1.

The buffer 6 may be made of foam such as sponge. The buffer 6 is fixed on the carrier 20. In detail, the buffer 6 is placed on a part of the base 2 inside the surrounding wall 22 in a U-shape. Each of two ends of the buffer 6 is formed with a positioning pillar 60. The base 2 is formed with positioning holes 23 corresponding to the positioning pillars 60. In assembling, the positioning pillars 60 is temporarily positioned in the positioning holes 23 in advance, then the buffer 6 is fixed on the carrier 20 by fasteners 7 such as screws. As a result, when the invention is applied to a seat 11 of a chair 1, the buffer 6 can provide flexible support to a user's legs, and when the invention is applied to a backrest of the chair 1, the buffer 6 can provide flexible support to a user's shoulders and neck. This is different from hard support of conventional mesh chairs.
In assembling, the frame 4 with the meshed fabric 3 is embedded into the groove 50 so that the meshed fabric 3 is fastened on a side of the frame seat 5 first, then the buffer 6 is fastened inside the surrounding wall 22 on the carrier, finally, the frame seat 5 with the meshed fabric 3 is placed outside the surrounding wall 22 on the carrier 20 so as to make the meshed fabric 3 covers the base 2 including the buffer 6. The fixing holes 51 separately correspond to the assembling hole 21 of the carrier 20, and a plurality of fasteners 8 such as screws separately pass through the meshed fabric 3 to be fastened into the fixing holes 51, so that the frame seat 5 with the meshed fabric 3 is secured on the base 2.
Please refer to
Furthermore, when assembling the frame seat 5 and the base 2, the fixing holes 51 of the frame seat 5 are shielded by the meshed fabric 3, so the frame seat 5 and the base 2 are difficult to be correctly positioned. To prevent this, as shown in
