The present invention relates to a hairbrush handle top in the form of a sports ball. More particularly, to an attachable/detachable hairbrush handle having a compressible top for being squeezed by a user's hand wherein the shape of the compressible top may be many different shapes, e.g., spherical or a prolate spheroid.
Conventional hairbrushes include an elongated member typically including a hard noncompressible handle segment and a bristle segment. Commonly, the bristle segment is a solid, cylindrical shape having a constant diameter throughout its axial length. In standard brushes, the bristle ends are inserted into a solid, cylindrical area having a substantially constant diameter throughout its axial length. Alternatively, the bristle ends are inserted into a substantially flat surface.
During the process of brushing hair with a traditional brush, the user grabs the elongated portion of the brush and starts brushing. Typically, only the bristles in the central region of the brush come in with the scalp and hair roots. As such, only a fraction of the bristles performs the actual brushing of the hair.
Therefore, there is a need for a hairbrush handle which provides a compressible centrally positioned handle for ease of use and that is ergonomic when brushing a user's hair thereby allowing the user to have the hairbrush bristles contact a larger region of the scalp and hair roots.
In view of the foregoing, one aspect of the various disclosed embodiments in the present invention is to provide a compressible hairbrush handle top. Accordingly, it is a primary aspect of the present invention to provide an improved hairbrush handle top for attachment/detachment to the top of any hairbrush for ease of use when a user brushes their hair. In accordance with the present invention the attachable/detachable hairbrush handle top uses a compressible top portion which may be spherically shaped handle located at the top of any base configuration and in one embodiment may be an elliptically shaped base. The combination of a hairbrush handle top attached to a hairbrush is intended for better brushing a user's hair by allowing the user to have the hairbrush bristles contact a larger region of the user's scalp and hair roots.
It is an aspect of the present invention to provide the centrally located handle to be spherical in shape representing a sports ball or baseball and also may be a football.
It is yet another aspect of the present invention to provide the centrally located brush handle to be compressible made of foam or a foamlike material which is soft to the user's touch and for ease of gripping and squeezing the brush handle top.
These together with other objects of the invention, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the invention, are pointed out with particularity in the disclosure.
