Claims
- 1. An attachment for a blade of a playing stick, wherein the playing stick includes a proximal end portion with a handle and a distal end portion with the blade, wherein the blade includes an upper edge and a lower edge, wherein the attachment comprises:
a) a base portion engaging the blade; and b) a floor extending from the base portion and comprising a leading edge, with the floor extending generally from the lower edge of the blade; c) whereby the leading edge can be slipped under an object which then can be played by the blade having the base portion.
- 2. The attachment of claim 1, wherein the base portion comprises a channel for engaging at least one of the upper and lower edges.
- 3. The attachment of claim 1, wherein the base portion comprises a pair of channels, with each of the channels engaging one of the edges, and with one of the channels being greater in width than the other of said channels.
- 4. The attachment of claim 1, wherein the base portion and floor portion are integral and one-piece, wherein the base portion and floor portion can form an L-shape relative to each other, and wherein the base portion and floor portion can form a V-shape relative to each other.
- 5. The attachment of claim 1, wherein the base portion and floor portion are integral and one-piece, wherein the base portion and floor portion can form an L-shape relative to each other, wherein the base portion and floor portion can form a V-shape relative to each other, and wherein toe ends of the base portion and floor portion can form a general V-shape relative to each other at the same time that heel ends of the base portion and floor portion can form a general L-shape relative to each other.
- 6. The attachment of claim 1, wherein the blade and floor portion can form an L-shape relative to each other, and wherein the blade and floor portion can form a V-shape relative to each other.
- 7. The attachment of claim 1, wherein the floor includes an upper surface, a lower surface and a leading edge spaced from the base portion, with the upper and lower surfaces tapering toward each other in the direction of the leading edge.
- 8. The attachment of claim 1, wherein the floor includes a lower surface and a leading edge spaced from the base portion, with the lower surface being curved in a direction from the base portion to the leading edge.
- 9. The attachment of claim 1, wherein the floor includes an upper surface and a leading edge spaced from the base portion, with the upper surface being curved in a direction from the base portion to the leading edge.
- 10. The attachment of claim 1 and the blade having a toe end and a heel end, wherein the base portion comprises a finger for engaging the heel end to maximize retention of the attachment on the blade when the playing stick is in use.
- 11. The attachment of claim 1, and further comprising a ceiling portion extending from the base portion and opposite of the floor portion, with the ceiling portion extending in a same direction as the floor portion, with the ceiling portion extending generally from the upper edge of the blade portion.
- 12. The attachment of claim 1, wherein the floor portion includes a leading edge, with the leading edge including an undulating portion.
- 13. The attachment of claim 1, wherein the floor portion includes a seat adapted for seating an object to be played with the stick.
- 14. The attachment of claim 1, wherein the floor portion includes a depression adapted for seating an object to be played with the stick.
- 15. The attachment of claim 1, wherein at least one of the base portion and the floor portion includes a slot adapted to be engaged by a tether wrapped about the blade to engage the base portion to the blade.
- 16. The attachment of claim 1 and the blade of the playing stick being a curved blade, wherein the base portion includes a curved section adapted to confront and engage the curved blade of the playing stick.
- 17. The attachment of claim 1 and the blade of the playing stick being a curved blade, wherein the floor portion includes a rear edge opposite of the leading edge, with the rear edge including a curved section adapted to confront the curved blade of the playing stick.
- 18. The attachment of claim 1 and further comprising the playing stick, wherein the playing stick is a hockey stick.
- 19. An attachment for a blade of a playing stick, wherein the playing stick includes a proximal end portion with a handle and a distal end portion with the blade, wherein the blade includes an upper edge and a lower edge, wherein the attachment comprises:
a) a base portion engaging the blade; b) a floor extending from the base portion and comprising a leading edge, with the floor extending generally from the lower edge of the blade; c) whereby the leading edge can be slipped under an object which then can be played by the blade having the base portion; d) wherein the base portion includes a channel for engaging at least one of the upper and lower edges of the blade; e) wherein the floor portion includes a tapered portion running into the leading edge; and f) wherein the base portion and floor portion are integral and one-piece with each other.
- 20. A kit combination comprising:
a) an attachment for a blade of a playing stick, wherein the playing stick includes a proximal end portion with a handle and a distal end portion with the blade, wherein the blade includes an upper edge and a lower edge, wherein the attachment comprises:
i) a base portion engaging the blade; and ii) a floor extending from the base portion and comprising a leading edge, with the floor extending generally from the lower edge of the blade; iii) whereby the leading edge can be slipped under an object which then can be played by the blade having the base portion; and b) an object for being picked up and flung by the blade of the playing stick, wherein the object has a shape resembling dog waste.
- 21. An attachment for a playing stick, wherein the playing stick includes a proximal end portion with a handle and a distal end portion, wherein the attachment comprises:
a) a blade that comprises a lower edge and a heel end, with the heel end being adaptable to be engaged to the distal end portion of the playing stick; and b) a floor extending generally from the lower edge of the blade, with the floor comprising a leading edge spaced from the blade; c) whereby the leading edge can be slipped under an object which then can be played by the blade having the base portion.
- 22. A play apparatus comprising:
a) a stick comprising a handle end and a distal end spaced from the handle end; b) a blade comprising a toe end, a heel end, an upper edge, a lower edge, a first face, and a second face, with the heel end being engaged to the distal end of the stick; and c) a floor portion extending generally from the lower edge of the blade and having a leading edge adapted for digging under an object with which the play apparatus plays, with the floor portion including an upper surface having a seat adapted for seating the object with which the play apparatus plays.
- 23. The play apparatus of claim 22, wherein the stick is extendable and retractable relative to the blade.
