The present invention relates to exercise equipment, specifically equipment used by boxers for training.
Traditional methods of training in sparring require more than one person.
These methods often result in injury to the boxer.
The above disadvantages are addressed by a fitness apparatus that comprises an elevated frame with a carriage connected to the frame for movement with respect to the frame along a first axis. It has a support connected to the carriage for movement with respect to the frame along a second axis perpendicular to the first axis; a fitness implement suspended form the support; and a controller operable to move the support along the first and second axes.
In
#1 are the fix post that are connected to the support post in the bottom #.
#2 is the made up of a “sleeve” post that sliding from A-B and B-A
#3 are 2 fixed post (could be one) that connect both #2's together and both the
#2's and #3's slide from A-B & B-A
#4 is the a “sleeve” post that slides on #3 from C-D and D-C.
#5 is the post that connects both #4's and allows both #4's to move simultaneously from C-D and D-C.
#6 is the “punching Bag” that is attached to #5. The punching bag can reach almost all points in the boxing ring since #4's slide north and south along #3's and #2's slide East and West along #1's (2 of the number #1's that are opposites of each other).
#7 is the part/piece that connects #6 to #5. This can be some time of firm spring/firm plastic/or any other material that will hold the bag in place with little flexibility.
This invention solves the issue of injuries while sparring, with a boxing partner and improves foot work. This (automated/or manually controlled device) will give a real life boxing experience while minimizing/or eliminating injuries while doing so. The boxer will also be able to improve their foot work as the “boxing Bag” (could be the upper body made up of different materials) will be able to move at every direction of the boxing ring and can move away from the boxer as well as to the boxer. One of the ways the system would be controlled is with a joystick, which could be operated by a trainer or another individual (this would be like a free style setting). The system would also be able to have some programmed movements to mimic the movements (or patterns) of other boxers. The systems could have ways to save certain patterns, and it would be easy for a boxer to pick the saved motions/patterns and improve on their foot work. The system may have multiple different “work outs” (this would be the different patterns/movements that were programmed in the system) where the individual would be able to select (say) work out #3. So essentially a boxer could technically spar without anyone else having to be present.
