Claims
- 1. A video camera apparatus comprising:
- (A) image sensing means for converting an image on an image sensing plane to an image signal;
- (B) detecting means for detecting movement vector information at a plurality of points on an image sensing plane, said detecting means being capable of changing said plurality of points for detecting said movement vector in said image sensing plane according to a photographing mode of said video camera apparatus;
- (C) weighting means for weighting said movement vector information respectively detected at said points and changing a degree of weighting applied to said vector information according to said photographing mode of said video camera apparatus;
- (D) computing means for computing a magnitude and direction of the movement of the image based on the movement vector information weighted by said weighting means;
- (E) compensating means for compensating the movement of the image based on the output of said computing means;
- (E') focus detecting means for detecting a focus condition on the basis of a predetermined component of the image signal; and
- (F) control means for controlling an operation of said compensating means and said focus detecting means on the basis of a photographing condition.
- 2. An apparatus according to claim 1, wherein said photographing mode of said video camera is a focus adjusting mode of said focus detecting means.
- 3. An apparatus according to claim 2, wherein said detecting means is arranged to change the movement vector in accordance with said focus adjusting mode.
- 4. An apparatus according to claim 3, wherein said weighting means is arranged to change weightings of the movement vector detected at the plurality of points on the image sensing plane, in accordance with said focus adjusting mode.
- 5. An apparatus according to claim 2, wherein said focus adjusting mode includes an automatic focus adjusting mode having a fixed distance measuring area, a tracing automatic focus adjusting mode having a variable forward distance measuring area and a manual focus adjusting mode.
- 6. An image sensing apparatus, comprising:
- (A) focus detecting means for detecting a focus state on the basis of a first signal component included in a video signal corresponding to a first area in an image sensing plane;
- (B) movement detecting means for detecting a movement of an image on the basis of a second signal component included in the video signal corresponding to a second area different from said first area in the image sensing plane; and
- (C) control means arranged to simultaneously operate said focus detecting means and said movement detecting means, to control the operation of said movement detecting means on the basis of operating state of said focus detecting means and to supply an output of said movement detecting means to said focus detecting means.
- 7. An apparatus according to claim 6, wherein said focus detecting means is arranged to detect a focus state on the basis of a high frequency component in the video signal corresponding to said first area.
- 8. An apparatus according to claim 6, wherein said second area consists of a plurality of small blocks, and said movement detecting means is arranged to compute movement vectors detected from said small blocks, respectively, to obtain a representative movement vector of the image sensing plane and output said representative movement vector.
- 9. An apparatus according to claim 8, further including movement correcting means for correcting the movement on the basis of said representative movement vector.
- 10. An apparatus according to claim 8, wherein said control means is arranged to change weightings applied to the movement vector detected at the respective ones of said plurality of small blocks in accordance with the operating mode of said focus detecting means.
- 11. An image sensing apparatus, comprising:
- (A) focus detecting means for detecting a focus state on the basis of a first signal component included in a video signal corresponding to a first area of an image sensing plane;
- (B) movement detecting means for detecting a movement of an image on the basis of a second signal component in the video signal corresponding to a second signal component in the video signal corresponding to a second area different from said first area in the image sensing plans;
- (C) discriminating means for discriminating whether said movement is caused by a displacement of the apparatus or a motion of an object, on the basis of an output of said movement detecting means; and
- (D) control means arranged to control said focus detecting means on the basis of an output of said movement detecting means and to control the operation of said movement detecting means on the basis of the operating state of said focus detecting means.
- 12. An apparatus according to claim 11, further including movement correcting means for correcting said movement on the basis of an output of said movement detecting means.
- 13. An apparatus according to claim 12, wherein said movement correcting means is a variable apex angle prism.
- 14. An apparatus according to claim 11, further including movement detecting means for detecting the movement by an angular velocity sensor.
- 15. An apparatus according to claim 11, wherein said discriminating means is arranged to discriminate panning, tilting or vibrating of the apparatus.
- 16. A video camera apparatus comprising:
- (A) image sensing means for converting an image formed on an image sensing plane to an image signal;
- (B) focus detecting means for detecting a focus condition on the basis of a predetermined component of the image signal output from said image sensing means;
- (C) detecting means for detecting movement vector information corresponding to a plurality of points on image sensing plane in the image signal output from said image sensing means prior to a processing operation of said processing means, said detecting means being capable of changing said plurality of points for detecting said movement vector in said image sensing plane according to an operating mode of said video camera apparatus;
- (D) weighting means for weighting said movement vector information respectively detected at said points and changing a degree of weighting applied to said vector information according to said photographing mode of said video camera apparatus;
- (E) computing means for computing a magnitude and direction of the movement of the image based on the movement vector information weighted by said weighting means;
- (F) compensating means for compensating the movement of the image based on the output of said computing means; and
- (G) control means for controlling said focus detecting means and said compensating means on the basis of a photographing mode.
- 17. An apparatus according to claim 16, wherein said operating mode of said video camera is a focus adjusting mode of said focus detecting means.
- 18. An apparatus according to claim 17, wherein said detecting means changes the position for detecting the movement vector according to the focus adjusting mode.
- 19. An apparatus according to claim 18, wherein said weighting means changes the weighting on the movement vector detected at plural points in the image sensing plane according to the focus adjusting mode.
- 20. An apparatus according to claim 17, wherein said focus adjusting mode includes an automatic focus adjusting mode for a fixed distance measurement area, an object-tracing automatic focus adjusting mode for a variable distance measurement area and a manual focus adjusting mode.
