Claims
- 1. An azeotropic or azeotrope-like composition consisting essentially of, by weight, about 1% to about 99% 1-difluoromethoxy-1,2,2,2-tetrafluoroethane and about 99% to about 1% 1,1,2,2,3-pentafluoropropane, wherein said composition has a vapor pressure at 25.degree. C. of about 101 kPa to about 111 kPa, and wherein the vapor pressure changes by less than about 10% after 50% of the composition has been evaporated at 25.degree. C.
- 2. The azeotropic or azeotrope-like composition of claim 1 consisting essentially of, by weight, about 60% to about 80% 1-difluoromethoxy-1,2,2,2-tetrafluoroethane and about 40% to about 20% 1,1,2,2,3-pentafluoropropane.
- 3. An azeotropic composition consisting essentially of, by weight, about 69.1% 1-difluoromethoxy-1,2,2,2-tetrafluoroethane and about 30.9% 1,1,2,2,3-pentafluoropropane, wherein said composition has a vapor pressure at 25.degree. C. of about 111 kpa.
- 4. A process of refrigeration comprising the step of evaporating the composition of claim 1 in the vicinity of an object to be cooled.
- 5. A process of refrigeration comprising the step of evaporating the composition of claim 2 in the vicinity of an object to be cooled.
- 6. A process of refrigeration comprising the step of evaporating the composition of claim 3 in the vicinity of an object to be cooled.
- 7. A process of heating comprising the step of condensing the composition of claim 5 in the vicinity of an object to be heated.
- 8. A process of heating comprising the step of condensing the composition of claim 2 in the vicinity of an object to be heated.
- 9. A process of heating comprising the step of condensing the composition of claim 3 in the vicinity of an object to be heated.
