The present invention relates to a baby bib used to prevent an infant from spilling food on a dining table, clothes or floor when seated in front of a dining table.
A baby bib is an object placed under the chin of an infant to prevent saliva, runny nose, or food from getting on the clothes or body. In general, a fastening string is attached to the top of a bib support part and is tied behind the baby's neck.
By the way, existing bibs do not prevent the floor or the dining table top or the infant's pants from getting dirty due to spilt food when a baby sits in front of the dining table and eats food. Accordingly, it is difficult to keep the surroundings clean when eating, and there is a hassle of cleaning up after meals.
KR20-0486170, KR20-0489156, U.S. Pat. No. 5,107,545, and JP2004-162236 have been published as documents related to infant bibs. Specifically, JP2004-162236 has a disadvantage that it cannot cover a dining table, KR20-0486170 and U.S. Pat. No. 5,107,545 have a disadvantage that absorbent tableware cannot be attached and fixed to a dining table when a bib is used because the bib cover the entire dining table, and KR20-0489156 has a disadvantage that food, etc. enters the top surface of a dining table, when absorbent tableware is not used, because a through-hole is always open, so that it cannot function properly as a dining table cover part.
Therefore, the present invention has been made in view of the above problems, and it is one object of the present invention to provide a baby bib for preventing food from spilling on a dining table, clothes, or the floor when a baby sits in front of a dining table to eat.

Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings. However, embodiments described below are merely for explaining in detail such that those of ordinary skill in the art to which the present invention pertains can easily implement the invention, and it is not intended that the protection scope of the present invention is limited to the embodiments. In describing various embodiments of the present invention, the same reference numerals will be used for components having the same technical characteristics.
A baby bib 100 (hereinafter referred to as “bib”) according to an embodiment of the present invention may be made of cloth or a synthetic resin material. In the case of cloth, waterproof cloth is preferred so that dirt can be easily wiped off. For example, the baby bib 100 may be made of a waterproof fabric, or a waterproof cloth material prepared by applying waterproof coating to a general fabric.
As shown in
Here, the wearing part 200 is placed under the chin so as to cover the front of the upper body of a baby when worn, and includes a body part 210 for covering the chest area under the chin; and an extension part 220 formed to extend downward such that the width thereof increases from a bottom end of the body part 210.
A neck insertion groove 211 is concavely formed in a top center of the body part 210. The baby bib 100 may be worn such that the baby's neck is inserted into the neck insertion groove 211.
A neck strap part 212 extends from one side of the neck insertion groove 211 to be hung on the baby's neck so as to prevent the body part 210 from being twisted or unexpectedly peeled off. For example, the neck strap part 212 may extend upward from a top end of the body part 210 to be obliquely inclined to an upper part of the neck insertion groove 211, as shown in the drawing.
In addition, an end of the neck strap part 212 and the other end of the neck insertion groove 211 are provided with first coupling members 213, such as a Velcro tape or a snap button, such that the neck strap part 212 wrapped around the back of the baby's neck can be coupled to the other side of the neck insertion groove 211, and the end of the neck strap part 212 and the other end of the neck insertion groove 211 correspond to each other.
As another embodiment, neck strap parts 212 formed on opposite sides of the neck insertion groove 211 may be tied and fixed behind the baby's neck.
Body strap parts 221 are respectively formed on opposite upper end sides of the extension part 220. The body strap parts 221 are wrapped around the back of the baby's torso to fix the extension part 220, and the body strap parts 221 are formed in a band shape to extend upward from opposite upper end sides of the extension part 220. Further, respective ends of the pair of body strap parts 221 are provided with second coupling members 222, such as a Velcro tape or a snap button, to wrap around the back of the baby's torso and to be coupled to each other. As another embodiment, the body strap parts 221 may be tied and fixed behind the baby's torso.
The cover part 300 is detachably coupled to a bottom end of the wearing part 200. The cover part 300 is formed to be hung on a front end part of an upper surface of the dining table 10 and cover the same. When the bib 100 is worn, the cover part 300 together with the extension part 220 covers an upper surface of the dining table 10, thereby preventing the dining table 10 from getting dirty due to food spilled by a baby.
A zipper part 400 is formed between the wearing part 200 and the cover part 300. As needed, only the wearing part 200 may be used, or the wearing part 200 and the cover part 300 may be used together by connecting the cover part 300 to a bottom end of the wearing part 200.
For example, a pair of zipper tapes 410 may be provided to respectively correspond to a bottom end of the wearing part 200 and a top end of the cover part 300 and face each other, as shown in the drawing. In addition, a zipper slider 420 for opening and closing the pair of zipper tapes 410 is mounted to slide along the zipper tapes 410.
According to an embodiment of the present invention, the pair of zipper tapes 410 may be opened and closed by a pair of zipper sliders 420 whose opening and closing directions are opposite to each other. For example, the zipper sliders 420 on a left side of the drawing open the pair of zipper tapes 410 when moving to the left, and close the pair of zipper tapes 410 when moving to the right. Conversely, the zipper sliders 420 on a right side of the drawing open the pair of zipper tapes 410 when moving to the right, and close the pair of zipper tapes 410 when moving to the left.
In this case, an opening part 350 (see
A pocket-shaped insertion part 500 is formed on a back side of the cover part 300. The insertion part 500 serves to wrap and cover a front end part of the dining table 10, and movement of the cover part 300 may be prevented by inserting the front end part of the dining table 10 into the insertion part 500.
Here, the insertion part 500 includes a hook part 510 extending rearward, upward from a bottom end of the cover part 300 to be spaced apart by a predetermined distance from the cover part 300; and a pair of side parts 520 respectively formed on opposite sides of the hook part 510 along the edges of the hook part 510 and the cover part 300. In addition, a space, into which a front end part of the dining table 10 is to be inserted, is partitioned due to the hook part 510, the cover part 300, and the side parts 520 on opposite sides of the hook part 510.
As another embodiment of the present invention, the wearing part 200 and the cover part 300 may be naturally formed in an integrated shape.
A pair of third coupling members 521 may be provided to be spaced apart from each other by a predetermined distance in a width direction on opposite upper end sides of the side parts 520. The width of the side parts 520 may be adjusted according to the thickness of an upper surface of the dining table 10 by coupling the pair of third coupling members 521 to each other, or the insertion part 500 may be firmly fixed. For example, when the thickness of an upper surface of the dining table 10 is thin, the widths of the side parts 520 may be reduced by coupling the pair of third coupling members 521 to each other as shown in
In the case of a dining table 10 or tableware 20 for babies, anti-slip treatment is applied to a top surface of the dining table 10 or a bottom surface of the tableware 20 to prevent slipping. For example, an adsorption part made of a synthetic resin material, such as rubber or silicone, may be formed on an upper surface of the dining table 10 or a bottom surface of the tableware 20, or tableware for babies (so-called “absorbent tableware”) made of a non-slip synthetic resin material such as rubber or silicone may be provided.
In this case, it is necessary to expose the top surface of the dining table 10 through the cover part 300 or extension part 220 for covering the top surface of the dining table 10 so that the tableware 20 and the top surface of the dining table 10 are in direct contact with each other. The opening part 350 of the bib 100 according to an embodiment of the present invention is formed by opening the zipper part 400 formed between the wearing part 200 and the cover part 300. Movement of the tableware 20 can be prevented by directly seating the tableware 20 on the top surface of the dining table 10 exposed through the opening part 350. In addition, the size of the opening part 350 may be adjusted by adjusting an interval between the pair of zipper sliders 420 according to the size of the tableware 20.
According to another embodiment of the present invention, a pair of arm insertion parts 600 may be formed on opposite sides of the body part 210. The arm insertion parts 600 may be formed integrally with the body part 210. As another embodiment, the arm insertion parts 600 may be separably coupled to the body part 210 through a coupling member such as a zipper, a Velcro tape, or a snap button.
In this case, both arms of the baby are respectively inserted into the arm insertion parts 600 when worn, and thus, it is possible to prevent saliva, snot, food, etc. from being deposited on the arms of the baby.
For example, the bib 100 may be used as an apron such as an art gown by separating the cover part 300 from the wearing part 200, and, in this case, it is possible to prevent dirt, such as paint, from splashing on the baby's arm.
Although the embodiments of the present invention have been described above, it will be understood that those of ordinary skill in the art to which the present invention pertains can implement various modifications without departing from the scope of the claims of the present invention.
A baby bib according to the present invention can prevent the floor, a table top, or clothes from becoming dirty due to food when a baby eats.
In addition, the baby bib according to the present invention allows attachment of various types and standards of absorbent tableware to a dining table for use.
Further, the baby bib according to the present invention can prevent the movement of a cover part when eating and can be worn like an apron by separating a wearing part from the cover part.
