DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
Referring to FIGS. 1 to 8, the baby carrier according to one embodiment of the present invention, includes a baby basket 2, a pair of X-frames 1, and a supporting pad 3. The supporting pad 3 is selectively in either hided beneath the baby basket 2 or supported on top of the baby basket 2 for diaper changing use.
Referring to FIGS. 1 to 3, the baby basket 2 has a upper frame 21, peripheral wall 22, a bottom 23, a pair of connecting elements 25, a handle bar 26, and a plurality of sockets 27. The peripheral wall 22 and the bottom 23 form an accommodating space 24. The inner side of the accommodating space 24 is cushioned with soft materials covered with fabric or plastic.
The upper frame 21 forms the top edge of the baby basket 2. The handle bar 26 is pivoted to the upper frame 21 for lifting baby basket 2 by hand and carrying the baby therein to anywhere.
The plurality of sockets 27 are connected to the opposite side of the upper frame 21 for detachable engaging with the pair of X-frames 1, thereby to be supported by the X-frames 1 for saving the labor of bending body for the user.
The pair of X-frames 1 includes a plurality of frame members 11, a pair of support brackets 13, and a connecting rod 14. The connecting rod 14 rigidly connected between the X-frames 1. Each of the frame members 11 has a top end and a lower end, and the top end thereof has a engaging portion 12 for inserting into the sockets 27 of the baby basket 2 respectively. Further, each of the lower end of the frame members 11 may be furnished with a wheel 15 adapted for moving the baby carrier 2 with the X-frames 1 either indoor or outdoor.
The pair of support brackets 13 is mounted on the middle portion of the X-frames respectively, so as to support the supporting pad 3 when hiding the supporting pad 3 beneath the baby carrier 2.
The supporting pad 3 has support frame 31, a peripheral walls 32, a pair of engaging extensions 33 and a buckle 34. The peripheral walls 32 and a bottom defined a shallow accommodating space for diaper changing use.
The support frame 31 has a pair of short sides 311 and a pair f long side 312. The engaging extensions 33 is formed on the short sides 311 and adapted for detachably engaging with the pair of support bracket 13, thereby to hide beneath the baby basket 2 as showed in FIG. 3.
Referring to FIG. 4, the supporting pad 3 can be remove from the support brackets 13 and changed to be supported by the baby basket 2. For securing the supporting pad 3 on the baby basket 2, a pair of buckle 34 is mounted on the middle portion of the pair of long side 312 of the support frame 31, and a pair of connecting elements 25 is firmly attached to the upper frame 21.
Referring to FIGS. 5 to 6, the connecting elements 25 connected with the upper frame 21, has a downward extension wall formed with a slot 251. The buckle 34 pivotally connected with the support frame 31, has an arm 341 formed with a latching hook 342 adapted for inserting and engaging with the slot 251 of the connecting elements 25. By the engaging of the buckle 34 and the connecting elements 25, the supporting pad 3 can be detachably connected with the baby carrier 2 for changing diaper for baby.
Referring to FIGS. 7 to 8, showing an alternative embodiment of the supporting pad 3. In this embodiment, the buckles 34 can be replaced by a plurality of outward extending hooks 340 for hanging the supporting pad 3 on top of the baby carrier 2.
Preferably, a baby accessory basket 4 is connected between the pair of X-frame, for receiving baby accessory, such as nursling kit, bottles, diapers, clothes, etc.
