This baby safety toothbrush is pretty simple. It is basically a toothbrush head attached to the back of a pacifier. This allows a baby to chew on a toothbrush head and become accustomed to a toothbrush in their mouth, but having the safety of a short shaft and a physical barrier to the whole apprentice entering the baby's mouth.
The problem this invention solves is that it allows a baby to get comfortable with a toothbrush at a very young age. In addition, another problem this item addresses is that it is safe. This item will only penetrate in to a baby's mouth as far as a normal pacifier.
The invention, Baby Safe Toothbrush, will be as long, wide and deep as a pacifier's oral part, but the head on it will look like a baby toothbrush. The end b 1/2 of an inch or so will have soft toothbrush bristles for brushing baby's teeth. The remainder of the shaft will be the same but without the bristles.
The oral shaft will end at a plastic safety shield, similar to that found on a pacifier. It will be circular, or oval, or square, or rectangular shape or any shape that is comfortable to the child, large enough to keep the toothbrush head from entering the baby's mouth far enough to hurt the baby. It will be about ⅛ of an inch in thickness.
OPTIONAL HANDLE, continuing from the disk, opposite side of the oral shaft, will be a 2-inch long, ½-inch wide and ⅛-inch deep plastic handle for the parent or small child to hold onto while brushing the child's teeth.
This new invention allows the baby, small child or toddler to brush their own teeth without the risk of injuring the soft pallet, as the disk in the center of the toothbrush prevents the toothbrush from entering the child's mouth far enough to do so, while still allowing the toothbrush to reach all the child's teeth.
