Claims
- 1. An apparatus for supporting a waste collection bag, comprising:
a first side having a first handle located at an upper portion of said first side; a second side foldably connected to said first side; a third side foldably connected to said second side, and having a second handle located at an upper portion of said third side; and a fourth side foldably connected to said first and said third side when expanded, said first, second, third, and fourth sides forming a hollow structure adapted to support a waste collection bag on the exterior of said first, second, third, and fourth sides; when collapsed, said first, second, third, and fourth sides adapted to be folded about one or more axes, thereby substantially aligning said first and second handles and reducing the size of said apparatus.
- 2. The apparatus of claim 1 wherein said one or more axes comprise a first vertical axis located at an intersection of said first and second sides and a second vertical axis on said second side at a distance substantially equal to said first width from said first vertical axis.
- 3. The apparatus of claim 2 wherein said first side further comprises a third handle at a lower portion of said first side and said third side further comprises a fourth handle at a lower portion of said third side.
- 4. The apparatus of claim 3 wherein said one or more axes further comprise a first horizontal axis such that said first, second, third, and fourth handles substantially align with each other when said sides are folded.
- 5. The apparatus of claim 2 wherein said one or more axes further comprise a third and fourth vertical axis.
- 6. The apparatus of claim 5 wherein said first side further comprises a third handle at said upper portion of said first side and said third side further comprises a fourth handle at said upper portion of said third side such that when said sides are folded said first, second, third, and fourth handles substantially align.
- 7. The apparatus of claim 6 wherein said first side further comprises a fifth and sixth handles at a lower portion of said first side, and said third side further comprises a sixth and seventh handles at a lower portion of said third side.
- 8. The apparatus of claim 7 wherein said one or more axes further comprise a first horizontal axis such that all of said handles substantially align when said first, second, third, and fourth sides are folded.
- 9. The apparatus of claim 1 wherein one or more of said first, second, third, and fourth sides comprise an attachment adapted to attach a lawn bag.
- 10. The apparatus of claim 1 wherein said one or more axes comprise a first vertical axis near a center of said second and fourth sides, and further wherein said second and third sides are adapted to fold inwardly such that said first and second handles are substantially aligned.
- 11. The apparatus of claim 1 further comprising four or more pegs on the bottom of said first, second, third, and fourth sides.
- 12. The apparatus of claim 11 wherein said pegs anchor said first, second, third, and fourth sides into the ground.
- 13. The apparatus of claim 1 wherein each of said first and third sides have a first width and a first length, and each of said second and fourth sides have a second width and a second length.
- 14. A method of placing waste collection into a collection bag comprising:
inserting a folded bag insert into a collection bag, said bag insert comprising:
i) a first side having a first handle located at an upper portion of said first side; ii) a second side foldably connected to said first side; iii) a third side foldably connected to said second side, and having a second handle located at an upper portion of said third side; and iv) a fourth side foldably connected to said first and said third side;
when folded, said first, second, third, and fourth sides are folded about one or more axes, thereby substantially aligning said first and second handles and reducing the size of said lawn bag insert; expanding said bag insert inside said collection bag, thereby forming a hollow structure supporting said collection bag.
- 15. The method of claim 14 wherein said step of expanding comprises unfolding said first, second, third, and fourth sides about said one or more axes.
- 16. The method of claim 14 wherein said step of inserting comprises grasping said first and second handles, placing said bag insert into said collection bag, and sliding said bag insert to the bottom of said collection bag.
- 17. The method of claim 14 wherein said bag insert further comprises four or more pegs at a bottom of said bag insert, said method further comprising anchoring said bag insert into the ground by applying force to said bag insert, thereby forcing said pegs into the ground.
- 18. An apparatus for supporting a waste collection bag, comprising:
a first side having a first handle located at an upper portion of said first side; a second side foldably connected to said first side; a third side foldably connected to said second side, and having a second handle located at an upper portion of said third side; and a fourth side foldably connected to said first and said third side; when expanded, said first, second, third, and fourth sides forming a hollow structure adapted to support a waste collection bag within said first, second, third, and fourth sides; when collapsed, said first, second, third, and fourth sides adapted to be folded about one or more axes, thereby substantially aligning said first and second handles and reducing the size of said apparatus.
- 19. The apparatus of claim 18 wherein said one or more axes comprise a first vertical axis located at an intersection of said first and second sides and a second vertical axis on said second side at a distance substantially equal to said first width from said first vertical axis.
- 20. The apparatus of claim 19 wherein said first side further comprises a third handle at a lower portion of said first side and said third side further comprises a fourth handle at a lower portion of said third side.
- 21. The apparatus of claim 20 wherein said one or more axes further comprise a first horizontal axis such that said first, second, third, and fourth handles substantially align when said sides are folded.
- 22. The apparatus of claim 19 wherein said one or more axes further comprise a third and fourth vertical axis.
- 23. The apparatus of claim 22 wherein said first side further comprises a third handle at said upper portion of said first side and said third side further comprises a fourth handle at said upper portion of said third side such that when said sides are folded said first, second, third, and fourth handles substantially align.
- 24. The apparatus of claim 23 wherein said first side further comprises a fifth and sixth handles at a lower portion of said first side, and said third side further comprises a sixth and seventh handles at a lower portion of said third side.
- 25. The apparatus of claim 24 wherein said one or more axes further comprise a first horizontal axis such that all of said handles substantially align when said first, second, third, and fourth sides are folded.
- 26. The apparatus of claim 18 wherein one or more of said first, second, third, and fourth sides comprise an attachment adapted to attach a waste collection bag.
- 27. The apparatus of claim 18 wherein said one or more axes comprise a first vertical axis near a center of said second and fourth sides, and further wherein said second and third sides are adapted to fold inwardly such that said first and second handles are substantially aligned.
- 28. The apparatus of claim 18 further comprising four or more pegs on the bottom of said first, second, third, and fourth sides.
- 29. The apparatus of claim 28 wherein said pegs anchor said first, second, third, and fourth sides into the ground.
- 30. The apparatus of claim 18 wherein each of said first and third sides have a first width and a first length, and each of said second and fourth sides have a second width and a second length.
- 31. The apparatus of claim 18 further comprising:
a first foldable bottom member foldably attached to said first side; a second foldable bottom member foldably attached to said second side; a third foldable bottom member foldably attached to said third side; and a fourth foldable bottom member foldably attached to said fourth side, when folded, said first, second, third, and fourth bottom members form a bottom side of said apparatus.
- 32. A method of placing waste collection into a collection bag comprising:
expanding a folded bag insert, thereby forming a hollow structure to support a waste collection bag, said bag insert comprising:
i) a first side having a first handle located at an upper portion of said first side; ii) a second side foldably connected to said first side; iii) a third side foldably connected to said second side, and having a second handle located at an upper portion of said third side; and iv) a fourth side foldably connected to said first and said third side;
when folded, said first, second, third, and fourth sides are folded about one or more axes, thereby substantially aligning said first and second handles and reducing the size of said lawn bag insert; and inserting a waste collection bag into said bag insert.
- 33. The method of claim 32 wherein said step of expanding comprises unfolding said first, second, third, and fourth sides about said one or more axes.
- 34. The method of claim 32 wherein said step of inserting comprises grasping said waste collection bag, placing said waste collection bag into said bag insert, and folding an open end of said waste collection bag over said first, second, third, and fourth sides.
- 35. The method of claim 32 wherein said bag insert further comprises four or more pegs at a bottom of said bag insert, said method further comprising anchoring said insert into the ground by applying force to said insert, thereby forcing said pegs into the ground.
- 36. The method of claim 32 wherein the bag insert further comprises a first foldable bottom member foldably attached to said first side, a second foldable bottom member foldably attached to said second side, a third foldable bottom member foldably attached to said third side, and a fourth foldable bottom member foldably attached to said fourth side, and said method further comprises the step of folding said first, second, third, and fourth bottom members thereby forming a bottom side of said bag insert prior to said inserting step.
