Claims
- 1. A pan for baking, the pan comprising:
(a) a first surface for receiving batter or dough thereon, the first surface having at least one receptacle for receiving batter or dough therein; (b) a stacking feature constructed and arranged to:
(i) allow stacking of a first pan and a second pan when one of the first pan and the second pan are rotated, and (ii) eliminate nesting of the first pan and the second pan when one of the first pan and the second pan are rotated; and (c) a wall extending from the first surface, the wall defining a pan perimeter and having a height of at least 0.5 inch (1.27 cm).
- 2. The pan according to claim 1, the pan made from a material comprising a non-conductive material.
- 3. The pan according to any of claims 1 and 2, wherein the height of the wall is about 0.5 inch to 2.5 inches (about 1.27 cm to 6.35 cm).
- 4. The pan according to claim 3, wherein the height of the wall is about 1 inch to 2 inches (about 2.54 cm to 5.08 cm).
- 5. The pan according to claim 2, wherein the non-conductive material is crystallized polyethylene terephthalate.
- 6. The pan according to any of claims 1-5, wherein the pan is a muffin pan comprising a plurality of receptacles for receiving batter or dough therein.
- 7. The pan according to claim 6, wherein the plurality of receptacles are aligned in a first row and in a second row, each row having at least two receptacles.
- 8. The pan according to claim 7, wherein the receptacles of the first row are aligned with the receptacles of the second row.
- 9. The pan according to any of claims 6-8, wherein the muffin pan comprises twelve receptacles.
- 10. The pan according to any of claims 6-8, wherein the muffin pan comprises four receptacles.
- 11. The pan according to any of claims 6-8, wherein the muffin pan comprises six receptacles.
- 12. The pan according to any of claims 6-11 further comprising at least aperture defined by the first surface, the aperture positioned between receptacles.
- 13. The pan according to any of claims 1-12 wherein the stacking feature is a protrusion extending from the first surface.
- 14. The pan according to any of claims 1-13 having a length of about 17 inches to 18 inches (about 43.2 cm to 45.7 cm) and a width of about 12 inches to 13 inches (about 30.5 cm to 76.2 cm).
- 15. A method of baking a batter or dough, the method comprising:
(a) providing a pan according to any of claim 1-14; and (b) baking the batter or dough to provide a baked good, by channeling a flow of heated air over the perimeter wall and over the batter or dough.
